I’m proud to offer this testimonial for Celeste Blair, who is actively using the tools available on Prison Professors Talent to prepare for success upon release. Celeste demonstrates a deep commitment to personal growth, and her efforts reflect the kind of mindset that brings hope to the broader community of justice-impacted individuals.
Celeste’s profile reflects sincere introspection and accountability. She has written powerful narrative entries in her biography, submitted regular journal reflections, completed insightful book reports, and is building a comprehensive release plan. Each of these steps shows her determination to grow through adversity and emerge stronger.
Beyond her own development, Celeste serves as a role model. She’s an example of someone who refuses to allow past decisions to define her future. Her willingness to memorialize the journey—through writing, learning, and planning—makes her an asset to her peers and to the mission of our nonprofit.
I believe that people like Celeste are exactly who society should support—people who use their time in prison to prepare for a better future, who demonstrate merit through action, and who lead by example.
It’s an honor to support her efforts, and I encourage others to learn from the path she’s forging. I am so happy to have read that she received a commutation, and I hope that when she returns home she will continue to volunteer with our nonprofit. She is a true ambassador and leader who teaches and inspires others, including me.
I was incarcerated with Ms. Blair a couple months back. She is an amazing, smart, and goal oriented person. She is very creative and has many plans for her upcoming release. She was granted a clemency early this year. She should haev been home already. I worked closely with her while incarcerated to start the Peer Success Team at FCI Aliceville. She is a great organizer and full of wonderful ideas to help others. I would definitely work with her again.
