10/28/2023 Saturday daily diary from Atwater Camp.
Woke up at 5:40 AM. Made up my bed, cleaned up, changed to BOP uniform and made a cup of coffee. Stretched, Drank my coffee and watched the local news and weather report, high temperature for today is 66 degrees F. Started walking at 6:20 AM. Breakfast was served at 6:23 AM. Breakfast menu: Oatmeal, Bread, and an apple.

Plan for Today:

  1. Stretch.
  2. Call Doris.
  3. Check email from Doris.
  4. Email daily dairy for 10/27/2023.
  5. Walk 6 Miles.
  6. Split Stretch.
  7. Yoga.
  8. Quotations.
  9. ACE Class Entrepreneurship 6-6:30 PM.
  10. Yoga.

Completed first 4 miles in 57 minutes 45 seconds. Completed final 2 miles in 23 minutes and 28 seconds. Average time for first 4 miles were 13 minutes 27 seconds per mile (milla) or 2 minutes 15 seconds per lap (vuelta). Final 2 miles, the average times were 11 minutes 44 seconds per mile or 1 minute 58 seconds per lap. The morning walk was cold and the moon was extremely large, almost full moon. The dawn sky and sun rise were beautiful as usual. The sun warmed up the air. Finished walking at 8:10 AM. Stretched in the morning sunlight at the basketball court. The warmth of the sun felt great. Did my split stretch and it is getting easier, my range of motion is improving especially after the stretch. Finished stretching at 8:50 AM. Had some donuts, nutty bar and some water for snack. Started Yoga practice at 9:00 AM. Finished Yoga practice at 9:50 AM. i was not able to go through all my poses because I had too much snacks and water. Census count at 10:00 AM. Lunch was served after the count. Luncheon menu: nachos, banana and punch. Talked to Doris at 10:20 AM: Doris is okay but feeling the side effects of the flu/covid shot. She asked about the New Balance shoes which I bought for her. I told her the shoe style and size is in the tongue of the shoes. I told her to charge the shoes to my credit card. She asked about my walk, I told her I completed my walk, split stretch and Yoga but I could not do all my Yoga poses because I had some snacks and water to drink, and when I am upside down, the food and water feels like it is coming out. She told me that Francis was up in his room for the last couple of days and she has not seen him since. He works from home on Fridays. The dogs are well and trying to push her to get some treats from her. She asked what was my plan for today. I told her I was going to catch up on my class reports. I told her to take it easy and get some rest because of the side effects form the shot. It happened to her the first time she had the Covid shot. It will take a few days for her to get over it.
Jon was doing some alterations for Omar in the sewing room. Worked on my Class reports until 3:00 PM. Back to the unit at 3:10 PM. Census count at 3:30 PM. Dinner was served after the count. Dinner menu: chicken fillet steak, carrots, bread and punch. Went to the library to work on my class reports. ACE Class Entrepreneur 6-6:30 PM. Back to the unit at 7:30 PM. Census count at 8:10 PM. Census count at 9:00 PM. An Inmate escaped from the camp. Cleaned up at 9:10 PM. Final Census count at 9:30 PM. Went to bed at 10:00 PM.
Today was a good day: Doris is under the weather from the Flu/Covid shot. The dogs are well. Francis moved in. Walked 6 miles, Yoga and Split stretch. Attended ACE Class. Completed some class reports.
