Testimonials

Amazing Example of Someone who Pursued Excellence

February 22, 2025

I am very proud to write this testimonial for Choon Young. I had a conversation with him before he surrendered to prison. We spoke about the challenges of being confined, and about the need to create a body of work that would help him self-advocate.

Choon exceeded expectations. He wrote every day about all that he was learning while going through a very challenging time. Rather than complain about his predicament, he looked for opportunities to contribute. He wrote about the ways that he spent his time inside preparing to overcome the challenges he anticipated facing once he got released.

As a result of Choon’s work, his case manager agreed to allow him to transition to home confinement much earlier than he anticipated. The work he did along the way influenced how his case manager perceived him.

Choon is a role model for us all and it’s the reason I’m happy to give him a five star review and to offer this personal testimonial. I look forward to his work upon his release.
