The morning started out dark, cloudy, breezy and cold – 47 degrees F. The lower atmosphere was cloudy except for a clearing in the South and Southeast horizon, the breeze made the temperature colder. The autonomous car company had their facility and flood lights turned on, but they were not testing their vehicles. The rabbits were grazing on the soccer and baseball fields, while Labrona and family were grazing by the fence near the basketball court. Breakfast was served early and the birds were not around, so the inmates left their food on the ground and on the basketball court. The dawn sky was on display: orange reddish band of haze, pink and peach colored clouds near the suns path and analogous colors radiated out of the suns path. I walked the trails on the soccer and baseball fields. More dark clouds were moving from the West. As the sun rise over the clouds, the big orange reddish sphere illuminated the clouds changing its color from pink to yellow colors and it brightened the sky. The birds appeared at 7:10 AM and they feasted on the food left by the inmates and foraged in the fields. As the sun ascended, it was shielded by the thick clouds. Completed walking 6 miles at 7:40 AM, in 1 hour 14 minutes and 14 seconds. Average walking times were: 12 minutes and 23 seconds per mile or 2 minutes and 4 seconds per lap. Stretched, split stretched and practiced yoga in the basketball court until 8:50 AM. The stretch and Yoga practice felt good after the cold morning walk. I was able to exercise all phases: strength, flexibility, balance and breathing. Finished my Yoga practice with the corpse pose and visualized the beautiful dawn sky and calming sun rise. Opened my eyes to the cloudy sky. Talked to Doris at 8:50 AM: Doris is well and rested. It was cold and raining in Pinole. GSW lost to the Utah Jazz in the last minute. They will play the Los Angeles Lakers tonight. I will be busy with tutoring, ACE Class and sewing. It started to rain at 9:10 AM. Cleaned the computer room. Showered and changed to BOP uniform at 9:30 AM. Did my laundry. Checked email from Doris: Doris is well and rested. She walked 9196 steps, 17.2 inches step length and symmetry was 7.8%. Yesterday was the 368th consecutive days she closed the ring on her iPhone. She will stay home today to avoid the inclement weather. She will visit me on Saturday 2/8/2025. Lunch was served at 10:20 AM. Luncheon menu: Baked chicken, carrots, rice, bread, apple and water. Brought some cleaned uniforms to the sewing room: repaired pants for Lorenzo, hemmed 2 pair of pants for Morales, exchanged 4 belts for Kia and altered sweat pants for Julian. Finished my laundry at 11:00 AM. Had a short nap. GED tutoring 12:00 – 3:00 PM. The rain stopped at 1:00 PM. Census count at 3:30 PM. Dinner was served after the count. Dinner menu: Chef salad, tuna, beets, potatoes soup, bread and water. ACE Class Mastering Stage Presence 6-6:30 PM. Census count at 7:00 PM. Census count at 8:00 PM. Cleaned up at 9:00 PM. Final Census count at 9:30 PM. Went to bed at 10:00 PM.
