6/20/2024 Thursday daily diary from Atwater camp.
Woke up at 5:30 AM. Made up my bed, cleaned up, changed to BOP uniform and made a cup of coffee. Stretched, drank my coffee and watched the local news and weather report, high temperature for today is 91 degree F. Started walking at 5:50 AM. Breakfast was served at 6:20 AM. Breakfast menu: Oatmeal, cake, milk, sugar and water (Harina de Avena, torta, leche, ezucar y agua).

- GED/ ESL Tutoring 12:00 – 2:30 PM.
The morning started bright, clear, calm and cool. The dawn sky was on display with analogous colors radiating out from the sun’s path: Red, orange, yellow, light blue and blue sky. The rabbits were grazing on the soccer and baseball fields and Labrona was grazing outside the fence. As the sun rise over the Sierras, it brightened the sky and warmed the air. The squirrels appeared after breakfast, they were running all over the camp begging for food from the inmates. Completed five miles walk and I had to go to the Front Office to do some work for Magdaleno. Helped her make about 1000 copies for commissary. Completed the final mile at 8:20 AM. The walking time was 1 hour 14 minutes and 24 minutes. Average walking times were: 12 Minutes 24 seconds per mile or 2 minutes and 4 seconds per lap. Went to sewing room: hemmed 2 dozen pants, exchanged 3-2x shirts for 3 large shirts for Rosa, Exchanged XL shirt and shortened pants for Abbas, and exchanged 5 pairs of socks for Jorge 37. Happy help sized and put away the uniforms. I was able to get Happy a job working in the sewing room. We will turn in the copout to CO Mr Zaleski next Tuesday. Checked email from Doris: Doris is well and rested after her hard work with the contractor. She walked 8073 steps, 16.3 inches step length and symmetry was 75%. Yesterday was the 150th consecutive days she closed the ring on her iPhone. She will wait for Diana to go shopping. Showered and changed to BOP uniform at 9:30 AM. Called Doris at 10:00 AM: Doris is well and rested. She was outside the backyard to: enjoy the nice weather, walked, let the dogs out and enjoy her tomato plants. She was waiting for Diana to show up, so they could go shopping. Lunch was served at 10:20 AM. Luncheon menu: hamburger, fries, cheese, an apple and water. GED/ESL tutoring 12:00 – 2:30 PM. Helped the commissary staff unload merchandise for commissary store tomorrow. Went to sewing room to hem pants. Completed 19 dozens pants, one more dozen left. Dinner was served at 3:00 PM, It was bagged dinner: bread, jelly, peanut butter, and potato chips. Census count at 4:00 PM. Did my laundry. ACE Classes Entrepreneur 5-5:30 PM and Taxes and Business 6-6:30 PM. Census count at 7:00 PM. Finished my laundry at 7:30 PM. Washed some green uniforms and blankets. Census count at 8:30 PM. Cleaned up at 9:00 PM. Final Census count 9:30 PM. Went to bed at 10:00 PM.
Today was a good day: Doris is well and rested. She walked 8077 steps, 16.3 inches step length and symmetry was 75%. Yesterday was the 150th consecutive days she closed the ring on her iPhone. Walked 6 miles. Hemmed 7 dozens pants. Got Happy a job at the sewing room.
