4/19/2024 Friday daily diary from Atwater Camp.
Woke up at 5:30 AM. Made up my bed, cleaned up, changed to BOP uniform and made a cup of coffee. Stretched, drank my coffee and watched the local news and weather report, high temperature for today is 82 degrees F. Started walking at 6:05 AM. Breakfast was served 6:30 AM. Breakfast menu: Oatmeal, muffin and water.

- ACE classes Geography Mystic Land 5-5:30 PM and US History 1933 – 1945 6-6;30 PM.
- GED/ ESL tutoring 12:00 – 2:30 PM.
The morning started out dark, scattered clouds over the Sierras and some alto cirrus clouds (nubes) in the mid sky and it was warm. The dawn sky quickly emerged it started with Red and brown colors over the Sierras amid the clouds and analogous colors appeared: Red, orange,, yellow, cream, light green, light blue, blue and dark blue sky. There was patch of clearing that was filled with Sea foam green color, the clouds were tinted with red and peach colors. Th rabbits were grazing on the soccer and baseball field, Labrona and her juvenile rabbits were grazing by the basketball court. The morning grew brighter and the analogous colors turned to pastel. As the sun rise , the golden sphere lit up the sky and burnt off some of the alto clouds. The rabbits left the fields and grazed near the fence on the West end, Labrona and her rabbits stay by the basketball court. Finished walking 6 miles at 7:30 AM, in 1 hour 11 minutes and 58 seconds. Average walking times were: 12 minutes per mile (milla) or 2 minutes per lap (Vuelta). The walk was fast and refreshing. Stretched and split stretched on the basketball court in the sunshine until 7:50 AM. Brought some cleaned uniforms and blankets to the sewing room. Exchanged 2-2X T shirts for Bolden. Cleaned the computer room. Counselor informed me that we will have two new inmates joining us today and we will have four more from the bus on Monday. Checked email from Doris. Doris is well and she had a good nights rest. She walked 8371 steps, 15.8 inches step length and symmetry was 87%. yesterday was her 88th consecutive days she closed the ring on her iPhone. She will work on new design for Mother’s day T – Shirt. She and Diana will visit me tomorrow. I urged her to walk outside and enjoy the nice weather. Showered at 9:30 AM and changed to BOP uniform. Lunch was served at 10:15 AM. Luncheon menu: fried fish sandwich, Cole Slaw, apple, pasta, spinach and water. Talked to Doris at 10:40 AM: Doris is well and rested. She walked outside and enjoyed the beautiful weather. She will be busy with her Mother’s Day T shirt design. She and Diana will visit tomorrow. They will leave the house around 8:00 AM, they should arrive between 10:30 – 11:00 AM. She asked how many dozens have I hemmed today, I told her I have not started hemming yet. I will be busy with ACE Classes, GED/ ESL Tutoring and hemming pants today. Went to library to work on my Spanish lessons. GED/ ESL tutoring 12:00 – 2:30 PM. The tutoring session went well, students are learning well. Two new inmates joined us at the camp today. Census count at 3:30 PM. Dinner was served after the count. Dinner menu: lasagna, salad, green beans, bread and water. ACE Classes – Geography Mystic Lands 5-5:30 PM and US History 1933-1945 6-6:30 PM. Census count at 7:00 PM. Census count at 8:00 PM. Cleaned up at 9:00 PM. Final Census count at 9:30 PM. Went to bed at 10:00 PM.
Today was a good day: Doris is well and rested. She walked 8371 steps, 15.8 Inches step length, symmetry was 87%. Yesterday was the 88th consecutive days she closed the ring on her iPhone. Walked 6 miles and split stretched. Attended ACE Classes. Good GED/ ESL tutoring sessions.
