In October 2021, I enrolled in the University of Metaphysics to pursue a deeper understanding of life, spirit, and the power of the mind.
This decision came in the wake of one of the most traumatic experiences of my life—a federal raid that shattered my sense of stability, safety, and identity. The emotional aftermath was overwhelming. As I tried to process the pain and injustice, I realized I could no longer rely solely on intellect or willpower to move forward. I needed something more—something spiritual.
That’s when I began reflecting on my roots.
Growing up, I had watched my grandparents practice Buddhist rituals with reverence. Three times a day, they’d enter a dedicated room, don their robes, light incense, and offer food and water to the Buddha statue. For years, I never fully understood what they were doing. But after the raid, those childhood memories came back to me as symbols of strength, peace, and spiritual grounding.
I knew it was time to re-educate myself—not with the kind of knowledge I once acquired in boardrooms or accounting classes, but with wisdom that could only be unlocked through inner transformation.
The University of Metaphysics became a beacon. The studies challenged me to question everything I’d been conditioned to believe—by the school system, the media, and society at large. I immersed myself in metaphysical philosophy, learning how consciousness, divine order, and universal laws shape our reality.
In time, I earned my Bachelor’s in Metaphysical Science and became an ordained metaphysical minister.
This wasn’t just about titles. It was about transformation. I had to understand who I truly was beneath the surface of status, trauma, and external validation.
What I’ve learned:
You are not what happens to you. You are what you choose to become after.
The spirit is stronger than circumstance.
The mind is powerful, but the soul is eternal—and it must be trained like the body.
When you stop searching for answers in the world and turn inward, you find your path.
Today, I bring these insights into my work through the Koru Insight Ministry. I help others who are navigating darkness—whether emotional, spiritual, or circumstantial—learn how to rebuild from the inside out.
Because sometimes the storm doesn’t come to destroy you. It comes to awaken you.
