A personal Mission Statement could possibly help me by putting out a call to action for individuals that see the problem/need in society that I am trying to resolve. In order to solve a problem steps are typically followed. With the proper mission statement others might be able to provide ideas and support in order to alleviate the problem or contribute to society their own way.
