I personally have been reading a wide variety of books to obtain a solid base of information on multiple subjects that apply to skills I need in life and upon reentry, so it is hard to pinpoint or just say one is the most influential. Everything can’t be covered in one book like how people refer to or use the Bible. If we are talking about your books it would be Success after Prison that I just borrowed from another inmate (Jeffrey Liddel) after reading Conquering a 45 year term book. It really surprised me that you didn’t send that book with the package of books that you originally sent. I feel like it is hard to connect to people sometimes just because I do read or want to teach myself and think it must be difficult for you to connect to most because people don’t like to read and have to really have a purpose in mind to knock out your first book of 500 pages. It also is a cliff hanger because you leave the readers who are in prison in prison. It ends right after you get released and gives them no visual picture or goal to strive for except over coming the sentence. If more inmates had access to the life after prison book they could see what became of all your hard work and it might inspire them to participate in your program more. If you can’t see the ball you can’t necessarily catch it and you had pictures in there as visual aids to compliment the story. We have been locked out on the yard the past week but I am going to start on some book reports this weekend if we actually get some time in the dorm. I found what you wanted in the book reports in that book also and don’t remember you referring to what you want it them by email or in the first book I read. I also plan on going into the music store and seeing what you have in the music catalog. I have wanted to download some books on tape but have not found any in the FBOP data base. Thank you again for continuing to try to help build a prosperous road for reentry felons.
