Journal Entry: Week of 2/10/2025 Through 2/14/2025
Monday, February 10, 2025
The day began early, as usual, with a 7:30 AM start. We were in Marana, AZ today, focused on the Orange Grove RPM’s and crosswalk blackout. The crew on-site included Matt, Dillion, and Oso. We made solid progress with these tasks, ensuring all necessary markings were clearly defined.
At the yard, we worked on truck-related projects. We started with the paint truck, mounting toolboxes and adjusting cameras. Afterward, the team washed off and sprayed the 3M mask, preparing for the next stages of work. Meanwhile, the thermo truck was given a quick wash down to keep it in top shape.
In addition, I had the team cut several stencils, including Merge Arrows, Turn Arrows, ONLY, BUS, and DO NOT ENTER. Anthony, Sean, Justin, and Gary handled these tasks efficiently, maintaining a good pace throughout the day.

With Anthony and Gary off today, the rest of the team carried on with various tasks in Tucson. Sean, Justin, and Oso worked on shortline paint maintenance at the Sun Tran Rondstadt Transit Center, ensuring everything was in top condition.
Later, we headed to Sahuarita, AZ, where we completed red fire zone hash markings and stenciling at the CAT Facility. Dillion and Matt worked well together, and I made sure the team had the proper safety gear, including hard hats and steel-toed boots, as required.

Anthony was off again today, so the remaining crew continued to make progress in Marana. At Gladden Farms Park, Matt, Oso, and Dillion tackled the parking lot restripe project. They did a great job bringing the lines back into clear view for better guidance and safety.
Meanwhile, Sean, Justin, and Gary were busy on Sanders Road, performing a restripe for longline paint. This took a significant amount of time, but the result was well worth the effort.
