Journal Entry

Woke up at 5:30 AM. Cleaned up and changed to BOP uniform. Made up my bed. Had some light coffee while watching the local news and weather channel. The temperature will be trending upwards and expect to be in the 100’s over the weekend. Did some light callisthenic stretching while watching television. Breakfast was served at 6:15 AM. Breakfast menu: cereals, muffins, milk, and apple. Started helping Chad with laundry duties at 6:30 AM. I will be alternating my laundry duties with my other activities, i.e…  reading until 1:00 PM.

Plan for today:

  1. Help Chad with Laundry duties.
  2. Work on the Gambling in Prison handout.
  3. Email daily Diaries to Doris and Michael.
  4. Call Doris.
  5. Look at Human Anatomy videos and prepare book reports.
  6. Read.
  7. Stretch.
  8. Walk 6 miles around the track.

6:45 AM went to the library to work on the “Gambling in Prison” handout. The handout suggested that I request a couple of handouts that would complement Gambling in Prison they were: The criminal Thinking handout and the Basic Cognitive Skills journal. I will need to submit a request to the psychology department for the handouts.

Back to the unit at 9:30 AM – 3:30 PM to email my daily diaries to Doris and Michael; on 6/23/2023, 6/24/2023, and 6/25/2023. Based on the availability of the computer and the time limit on the computer. Lunch was served at 10:30 AM. Luncheon menu: Baked Chicken, Chocolate Mousse, bread, mixed vegetables and punch. Thursday luncheon is a favorite as there was a long line for lunch. Headcount at 3:30 PM. Dinner was after the head count. Dimmer menu: shredded chicken breast, rice, carrots, bread, and punch. Back to the library from 4:00 PM to 6:10 PM to complete the Gambling in Prison and prepared a report for the handout. Walked 6 miles around the walking trail from 6:20 – 8:00 PM. Headcount @ 8:30 PM. Cleaned up and showered. Final headcount at 9:30 PM. Went to bed at 10:00 PM.

Good day: finished my “Gambling in Prison” handbook and prepared a report for it. The handout opens my eyes to a lot of illegal activities at the camp. I know of them but choose to focus on my goal to stay away from disciplinary infractions. Emailed several daily Diaries to Michael and Doris. Had a good dinner. Felt good after the walk to allow me to plan for my activities tomorrow. The walk also keeps me fit.
