A&O presentations from various departments were held at the visitors center, the meeting lasted from 7:30 – 10:30 AM. I had a hard time hearing the presentation and I Informed them I have a hearing problem and could only hear about 50% of what they were talking about. Dr. Salcido will discuss my hearing issue with me after the meeting. Unfortunately, he had to leave before the conclusion of the meeting. Camp Counselor Mr. Reyes will contact Dr. Salcido about my issue. Lunch was served at 10:30 AM. Luncheon menu: chicken sandwich, tomato, green beans, pasta, apple, and punch. We completed the A&O meeting at 11:10 AM. Read at the library until 11:30 AM.
Called Doris at 11:40 AM: Her Asthma was Okay. She is walking faster and her stride length was 17.5 inches, a vast improvement from 16.2 inches, I told her to keep up the good work. She should practice getting up from the ground in the living room, in case she falls again. They are celebrating Diana’s Birthday, Luncheon at China’s Kitchen. I told her my ribs are still sore but slowly improving. Just takes time to heal and my range of motion has improved. She will be doing a craft show at the Pinole Senior Center on July 29. She will talk to Christine about me volunteering my services. Her eye appointment is on 7/3/2023, Monday. Hopefully, Dr. Scott will recommend replacing her corneas. Emailed my Daily Diaries to Doris and Michael for 6/14/2023, 6/15/2023, 6/16/2023, 6/17/2023.
Discussed with Chad Correa about doing laundry duties and tutoring the GED, and ESL classes. Chad was very receptive to my ideas after I told him of my goal to help the Pinole immigrant and geriatric community with my volunteer services after I leave. But I have to have approval from Ms. Hubbard. Headcount at 3:30 PM. Dinner was served after headcount. Dinner menu: ground beef, green beans, rice, bread, and punch.
Dr Liupakorn – Dr L. the psychologist came by at 4:00 PM to drop off a package – Gambling in Prison and a journal. Went to the library to review the handout ” Gambling in Prison.” I did not walk today, instead, I took a nap. Ate some ramen noodles with spicy sausage. Cleaned up and showered at 8:30 PM. Productive day with the A&O meeting, start to get my hearing issues taken care of, my ribs are healing slowly, Doris’ arthritis is improving, good discussion with Chad about my plans, and working on the Gambling in Prison handout.
