The morning started out dark, breezy, sparse clouds and cold – 40 degrees F. The lower atmosphere was clear except for some sparse clouds in the Eastern horizon and scattered sparse cirrus clouds, the breeze made made the temperature felt colder. The autonomous car company had their lights on and they were testing their vehicles. Rabbits were grazing on the soccer and baseball fields, while Labrona and family were grazing by the fence near the basketball court. The beautiful dawn sky was on display, it started out with a red band of haze and gradually transformed to analogous colors over the Sierras with colors ranging from: Red, orange, yellow, light green, light blue, dark blue sky and dark gray clouds. As the morning progressed, the analogous colors over the Sierras was mirrored with the analogous of the clouds. No wild life appeared after breakfast, so the inmates left their food on the ground and the basketball court. As the sun rise over the Sierras it illuminated the clouds on it path to gold color and sparse cirrus clouds were turned to peach colored clouds. As the orange sphere ascended it brightened the sky and warmed the air. Th birds appeared and feasted on the food left on the ground and basketball court. The sun thawed the freeze on the ground. Completed walking 6 miles at 7:40 AM, in 1 hour 14 minutes and 26 seconds. Average walking times were: 12 minutes and 25 seconds per mile or 2 minutes and 5 seconds per lap. Stretched, split stretched and practiced my Yoga at the basketball court in the morning sunshine until 8:50 AM. The stretch and Yoga practice felt good after the cold morning walk. I was able to exercise all phases: strength, flexibility, balance and breathing. Finished my Yoga practice with the corpse pose and visualized the beautiful dawn sky and spectacular sun rise of the morning. The dawn sky and sun rise are never the same. Opened my eyes to the bright blue sky with sparse cirrus clouds. Cleaned the computer room. Talked to Doris at 9:00 AM: Doris is well and rested. The temperature was cold in Pinole. The dogs stayed in their dog house until the weather warmed up. They will fix the washer on Thursday after they receive the parts. As expected GSW lost to the Cavaliers. GSW lost to the Cavaliers and their next game is on Thursday 1/2/2025 against the Sixers. Had a short nap. GED tutoring 12:00 – 3:00 PM. Went to sewing room: repaired uniforms, sorted, sized and put away uniforms. Census count at 3:30 PM. Dinner was served after the count. Dinner menu: pepper beef, carrots, rice, bread and water. Informed inmates that the Examination for ServSafe was rescheduled to 1/7/2025 at 8:00 AM because 1/9/2025 is Presidents Carters memorial and is a holiday. Census count at 7:00 PM. Census count at 8:00 PM. Cleaned up at 9:00 PM. Final Census count at 9:30 PM. Went to bed at 10:00 PM.
