It rained pretty heavy last night but cleared up in the morning. The walking trail was flooded but the basketball courts were dry. The Morning walk started out dark, but the moon was visible in the western sky. The rabbits were out grazing in the field. The morning walk was refreshing and warm, in the 50’s. As the morning progressed the dark dawn sky emerged and gradually grew to pastel colors. It was a beautiful sight but the colors were not as dramatic as the rain clean out the smog. As the sun rise over the horizon, a yellowish, orange sphere emerged it was a beautiful sight and it illuminated the underside of some scattered clouds. The sun burn away some of the scattered clouds. Picked up my commissary items at 7:20 AM, spent $27.60 at the store. Completed walking 6 miles in 1 hour 19 minutes and 10 seconds at 8:00 AM. Average walking times were: 13 minutes and 4 seconds per mile (milla) or 53 seconds per lap (vuelta). Stretched and split stretched at the basketball court in the morning sunshine. Finished stretching at 8:40 AM. Cleaned the computer room. Had some donuts and an apple for snacks. Mrs… Chavez informed me that there won’t be any new inmates joining us until 1/3/2024, we are supposed to have 5 new inmates on that day. Showered at 9:20 AM and changed to BOP uniform. Checked and replied to Doris email: they had her Birthday luncheon in Berkeley on Telegraph avenue. It was like Indian food, lots of curry and they enjoyed the luncheon. The weather in the Bay Area was foggy and it was supposed to rain today. Lunch was served at 10:20 AM. Luncheon menu: baked chicken, green beans, sweet potatoes, bread, salad and water. Talked to Doris at 10:35 AM: Doris and Patches are well. They are staying home today because it was foggy and supposed to rain later. They enjoyed Doris Birthday luncheon in Telegraph avenue. It was a yuppy hangout with a full size bar. They enjoyed the luncheon but it was lots of curry on the menu. They might go to Safeway later to get some bread and other stuff. I asked Doris to periodically check on my release date on the BOP website so we could monitor that I am being credited for my time earned and I need to have my case manager to start the relocation process and apply for my half way house / home confinement when my release date is within 18 months of my release date. I told them that several cases for the two point reduction had received their response from the court. Most cases were like mine, where the judge sentenced them to a term that was lower than the two points of their original offence level. they were denied any more sentence reduction. The dogs are well and are going down to the slope at least twice a day. the cleaners are coming over to clean the house. I told them that I had the GED / ESL tutoring today and the students are preparing for their examination on January 8 2024. I will host the Infectious Disease ACE Class and attend the Effective Writing class tonight. I told them to keep dry and warm today. GED ? ESL Tutoring class 12:00 – 2:30 PM. Found out that our new education manager was being sent to work in the Penitentiary and we have no idea who the new replacement will be. We just have to keep the GED / ESL going.
