12/27/2024 Friday daily diary from Atwater Camp.
Woke up at 5:00 AM. Made up my bed, cleaned up, changed to BOP uniform and made a cup of coffee. Stretched, drank my coffee and watched the local news and weather report, high temperature for today is 63 degrees F. Started walking at 6:00 AM. Breakfast was served at 6:40 AM. Breakfast menu: Oatmeal, cake, milk, sugar, apple and water (Harina de avena, torta, leche, ezucar, un manzana y agua).

It rained all night and continued until 7:00 AM. The morning started out dark, raining, breezy and cold – 50 degrees F. The lower atmosphere were cloudy, raining, the breeze made the temperature feel cooler. The autonomous car company had its flood lights on but was not testing their cars. No signs of rabbits on the soccer and baseball fields. No wildlife appeared after breakfast, so the inmates discarded their food on the ground and on the basketball court. The rain stopped an the sky brightened but the sky was overcast with clouds. Since it was raining, I walked on the treadmill in the exercise room. Completed walking 6 miles at 7:30 AM, in 1 hour 14 minutes and 33 seconds. Average walking times were 12 minutes and 26 seconds per mile or 2 minutes and 6 seconds per lap. Attended the EBRR Classes Trauma Part 2, 7:30 – 8:30 AM and Basic Cognitive Skills 8:45 – 9:30 AM. Talked to Doris at 9:30 AM: Doris is well and rested. It was still raining in Pinole but the dogs are awake and running round. Today was Doris Birthday an I wished her a Happy Birthday. We will celebrate her birthday when she visits me tomorrow. The warriors are playing the Clippers tonight and outlook is not good as Curry is not playing. She lost interest in the Warriors lately as they have been losing. I told her I just finished my two EBRR Classes and will have 2 ACE Classes tonight and we were assigned lots of homework for the EBRR Classes. Today was commissary day but I did not get anything. The autonomous car company turned off their flood lights at 9:30 AM, but they were testing some vehicles. Cleaned the computer room. Checked email from Doris: Doris is well and rested. She walked 8679 steps, 15.7 inches step length and symmetry was 8.5%. Yesterday was the 327th consecutive days she closed the ring on her iPhone. Today is her birthday, we will celebrate her Birthday tomorrow during visitation. The GSW will play the Clippers tonight but Curry will not be playing. The other players will have to step up. She will give Karlee and Chris their X’Mas presents tomorrow. Lunch was served at 10:20 AM. Luncheon menu: fried fish sandwich, pasta, carrots, apple and water. After lunch, the birds feasted on food discarded by the inmates. The birds were have a good time sharing their food. Showered and changed to BOP uniform at 11:00 AM. Had a short nap Brought some cleaned uniforms and blankets to the sewing room: repaired uniforms and prepared bus bag for new inmate. The sun finally appeared at 12:00 PM. Jon brought 2 bus bags for new inmates. Census count at 3:30 PM. Dinner was served after the count. Dinner menu: spaghetti with marinara sauce, spinach, salad, bread and water.
