12/23/2023 Saturday daily diary from Atwater Camp.
Woke up at 5:30 AM. Made up my bed, cleaned up, changed to BOP uniform and made a cup of coffee. Stretched and drank my coffee and watched the local news and weather report, high temperature for today is 59 degrees F. Started walking at 6:30 AM. Breakfast was served at 6:15 AM. Breakfast menu: Oatmeal, muffin, an apple and warm water.

- Check email from Doris.

- Walk 6 miles.
- Split Stretch.
- Quotations.
- ACE Classes – Stress on your body 5-6 PM (Hosting) and Entrepreneurship 6-6:30 PM.
- Visitation.
Completed 6 miles walk in 1 hour 16 minutes and 35 seconds at 8:00 AM. Average walk times were: 12 minutes and 13 seconds per mile (milla) or 2 minutes and 3 seconds per lap on the trail or 49 seconds per lap (vuelta) on the basketball court. The morning walk started out dark but cool and the sky was overcast. No sight of the moon, temperature was in the 50’s with slight wind gust. As the morning progressed, the sky grew lighter. The sun never appeared in the morning walk. The walk times were pretty fast as I was sweating. Finished walking at 8:00 AM. Stretched and split stretched at the basketball court until 8:30 AM. Took a shower at 8:50 AM and changed to BOP uniform. Talked to Doris at 9:15 AM: Doris and Patches are well. They had a crab feast last night. They finished the four crabs and enjoyed themselves. Doris’s asthma is acting up but it is under control with her medication. Doris had a good night rest until 7:00 AM this morning. The weather in the bay area was clear. They are waiting for Karlee to pick them up for the visitation. Doris asked if I read her email, I told her I have not. I told them I will be hosting an ACE Class tonight. I did some sewing yesterday and will defer other sewing until after X’Mas.
Lunch was served at 9:30 AM. Luncheon menu: sloppy joe, carrots, an apple and hot water. Checked and replied to Doris email. They enjoyed their crab dinner and Francis cleaned up. Census count at 10:00 AM. Worked on my class report. Karlee, Doris, Patches and Chris arrived at the visitation room at 12:00 PM: All of them are well. The traffic from the Bay Area was heavy. Chris told me he is working with Impossible food, a promotion for him. Karlee has been busy with holiday promotion programs. Her company had a new appointment to CEO. they will try to stop by the Livermore Outlet Mall on the way back, but the traffic at the mall will be heavy. They will have their drinking at home instead of at a bar, a wise choice. The Yong clans will send their reference letter to Doris after the holidays. Patricia finally retired from her job. Chan took a picture for all of us. Doris is walking better since she started using the soft cast. They were able to buy a replacement battery for the home alarm from target. Doris knows how to turn the alarm off from the tablet. I told her to write the instructions down so she could refer to it in the future. Kein enjoyed the crab dinner last night and he talked to Francis about taking care of his weight. We had some Dr Pepper, Coke, Sprite, Potato Skin chips, potato chip and a snickers. They left the visitation room at 3:00 PM. It was a very good visitation.
I found out that Armando, my barber was sent to the SHU while I was in the visitation room. Census count at 3:30 PM. Dinner was served at 3:45 PM. Dinner menu: Roast beef, mixed vegetables, mashed potatoes, bread and hot water. ACE Classes – Stress and Your Body 5-6 PM (Hosting) and Entrepreneurship 6-6:30 PM. Census count at 7:00 PM. Census count at 8:00 PM. Cleaned up at 9:00 PM. Final Census count at 9:30 PM. Went to bed at 10:00 PM.
