12/21/2023 Thursday daily diary from Atwater Camp.
Woke up at 5:30 AM. Made up my bed, cleaned up, changed to BOP uniform and made a cup of coffee. Stretched, drank my coffee and watched the local news and weather report, high temperature for today is 62 degrees F. Started walking at 6:20 AM. Breakfast was served at 6:10 AM. Breakfast menu: Cereal, Muffin, an apple and warm water.

Plan for Today:

  1. Stretch.
  2. Call Doris.
  3. Check email from Doris.
  4. Email daily diary for 12/20/2023.
  5. Walk 6 Miles.
  6. Split Stretch.
  7. Quotations.
  8. ACE Classes – Introduction to Infectious Disease 5-6 PM (Hosting) nd Effective Writing 6-6:30 PM.
  9. GED/ ESL Tutoring 12:00 – 2:30 PM.

Finished walking 6 miles in 1 hour 21 minutes and 24 seconds at 8:00 AM. Average walking times were 13 minutes and 9 seconds per mile (Milla) or 2 minutes and 12 seconds per lap (vuelta). the morning walk started out dark but cool, in the 50’s. The sky was overcast. The dawn sky was different shades of grey. The sun rise was completely shielded by the thick clouds. The striated grey colors of the dawn sky was different but it looked very pleasant. The walk on the basketball court was dry and fast. Average, 15 laps on the court to make a mile. Stretched and split stretched on the basketball court until 8:40 AM. Cleaned the computer room. Had a nutty bar and an apple for snacks. Showered at 9:20 AM. Checked and replied to Doris email. BOP issued every inmate a care package for Christmas. It contained snacks, candies and cookies. Lunch was served at 10:20 AM. Luncheon menu: baked chicken, pasta, bread, banana and hot water. talked to Doris at 10:35 AM: Doris and Patches are well. It stopped raining in the Bay Area and they are going to the temple in Oakland. Also do some shopping in Chinatown. I told Doris I might file the two point reduction but will need references letters from the communities. I don’t need a commitment, jus a reference letter from them. Doris me where to get the battery for the home alarm, I told her she could get it at Walmart, Walgreen, Target and other stores. If she needs the battery ASAP then she should go on the internet to search which store has the battery and get the replacement battery immediately. Comcast usually do not carry the battery. They will see me on Saturday for visitation. GED / ESL Classes from 12:00 – 2:30 PM. Found out all the students passed the GED Language Arts test. census count at 3:30 PM. Dinner was served at 4:00 PM. Dinner menu: spicy shredded chicken, green beans, pasta, bread and hot water. ACE Classes – Introduction to Infectious Disease 5-6 PM (Hosting) and Effective Writing 6-6:30 PM. Census count at 7:30 PM. Census Count 8:30 PM. Cleaned up at 9:00 PM. Final Census count at 9:30 PM. Went to bed at 10:00 PM.
Today was a good day: Doris and Patches are well. They are going to the temple in Oakland and shopping in Chinatown. Walked 6 miles and split stretched. All student passed the Language Arts GED Test. Received Christmas care package from BOP. Hosted and attended all classes. GED/ESL Tutoring.
