12/20/2023 Wednesday daily diary from Atwater Camp.
Woke up at 5:30 AM. Made up mu bed, cleaned up, changed to BOP uniform, and made a cup of coffee. Stretched, drank my coffee and watched the local news and weather report, high temperature for today is 64 Degrees F. Started walking at 6:25 AM. Breakfast was served at 6:15 AM. Breakfast menu: Oatmeal, muffins, banana and hot water.

- ACE Classes – Parenting 5-5:30 PM and Religious Freedom 6-7 PM (Hosting).
- GED / ESL Tutoring 12 – 2:30 PM.
Finished walking 6 miles in 1 hour, 20 minutes and 30 seconds at 8:00 PM. Average walking times were: 13 minutes and 9 seconds per mile (milla) or 2 minutes and 12 seconds per lap (vuelta). The morning walk started out dark and cool but the with was blowing, temperature was in the 50’s and over cast with thick clouds. Before the sun emerged, the dawn sky was brightly illuminated in the horizon that was clear. The cloudless area were yellow and the underside of the clouds were tinted with Peach fuzz color. It was a very different scene from your normal sun rise. the sun rise was brief but it was bright red over the horizon and was quickly shielded by the thick clouds. As the morning ware on, the sky grew tp lighter shade of grey. Finished walking at 8:00 AM. Stretched and split stretched at the basketball court until 8:40 AM. Fortunately the wind calmed down a little. Cleaned the computer room. Checked and replied to Doris’s email. Showered at 9:20 AM, changed to BOP uniform. Went to sewing room to repair some uniforms and to put away some cleaned uniforms. Lunch was served at 10:10 AM. Luncheon menu: hamburger, fries, an apple and hot water. Talked to Doris at 10:30 AM: Doris and Patches are well. They are not sure if they are going to the temple as it was raining hard in the Bay Area. Karlee was supposed to take Patches out clubbing, I told them it was a bad idea as there will be a lot of sobriety check stations during the X’mas to New Year Holidays. also the inclement weather. I told them it is better to celebrate at home. They will visit on 12/23/2023 Saturday with Karlee and Chris, 12/25/2023 Christmas Day and on 12/29/2023 Saturday and on 1/1/2024 New Year day. I told them most of the students in the GED classes passed their examinations. I told them I will be hosting and attending the ACE Classes tonight. GED / ESL tutoring 12:00 – 2:30 PM. It has been raining all day at the camp. Census count at 3:45 PM. Dinner was served after the count. Dinner Menu: Nachos, soup, salad and hot water. ACE Classes – Parenting 5-5:30 PM and Religious Freedom 6-7 PM (Hosting). Census count 7:30 AM. Census count at 8:30 PM. Cleaned up at 9:00 PM. Final Census count at 9:30 PM. Went to bed at 10:00 PM.
Today was a good day: Doris and Patches are well. Rainy weather all day. Walked 6 Miles and split stretched. Good GED results from last examination. Attended and Hosted ACE Classes.
