12/17/2024 Tuesday daily diary from Atwater Camp.
Woke up at 5:00 AM. Made up my bed, cleaned up, changed to BOP uniform and made a cup of coffee. Stretched, drank my coffee and watched the local news and weather report, high temperature for today is 54 degree F. Started walking at 6:00 AM. Breakfast was served at 6:30 AM. Breakfast menu: cereal, cake, milk, sugar and water (cereal, torta, leche, ezucar, un manzana y agua).

The morning started out dark, breezy, foggy and cold 49 degrees F. The lower atmosphere was very foggy with visibility less than a couple of hundred feet, gusty breeze makes the temperature feels colder. The autonomous car company had its flood lights turned on but it was barely visible, I could not see any vehicles. The rabbits were grazing on the soccer and baseball fields, while Labrona and family were grazing by the fence near the basketball court. As the morning progressed, the sky brightened and more fog rolled into the camp. After breakfast, no wild life appeared, so the inmates left their food on the ground. As the fog thickened, they announces that there will be a fog count. I walked the trails on the soccer and baseball fields. Completed my 6 miles walk at 7:40 AM, in 1 hour 14 minutes and 20 seconds. Average walking times were: 12 minutes and 24 seconds per mile or 2 minutes and 4 seconds per lap. The birds appeared and they feasted on food left on the ground by the inmates. Stretched and split stretched on the basketball court until 8:10 AM. I did not practice Yoga as the basketball court was wet. They issues a recall and fog count at 8:15 AM. The fog was very thick and visibility was below a hundred feet. Fog count at 8:30 AM, After all the inmates were recalled from work. Talked to Doris at 8:50 AM: Doris is well and rested. She was getting ready to go to the eye appointment in Concord and will probably be back by 12:00 PM. Cleaned the computer room. Felipe Navarro and crew painted the molding in the computer room and cleaned the windows.. Counselor Reyes informed me we might have a new self surrender inmate on 12/27/2024. Lyndon Huynh left camp at 3:00 AM this morning. Showered and changed to BOP uniform at 9:20 AM. Tabulated list of students for GED in 2025. Checked email from Doris at 10:00 AM: Doris is well and rested. She walked 8692 steps, 16.1 inches step length and symmetry was 7.7%. Yesterday was the 317th consecutive days she closed the ring on her iPhone. She is still waiting for Tax information from Abbas, She received a call from Eric who just got back from Bali. She is going to Concord for her eye appointment at 9:00 AM and will probably be done by 12:00 PM. Went to sewing room: brought some cleaned uniforms, and hemmed some pants. Lunch was served at 10:20 AM. Luncheon menu: Chicken breast sandwich, rice, beans, salad and water. Hemmed some pants at sewing room. GED/ Statistics Tutoring 12:00 – 3:00 PM. Went to sewing room and completed hemming 40 dozens pants and repaired khaki uniforms. Census count at 3:30 PM. Dinner was served after the count. Dinner menu: polish sausage, buns, green beans, garnish and water. Tabulated the new list of inmates who will take their SABE and GED Tests in 2025. Census count at 7:00 PM. Census count at 8:00 PM. Cleaned up at 9:00 PM. Final census count at 9:30 PM. Went to bed at 10:00 PM.
