The morning started out dark, cloudy, calm and cold – 42 degrees F. The lower atmosphere was cloudy with clearing in the East and Southern horizons, and in the mid sky, the full moon was in mid sky at 1 o’clock. The autonomous car company was not testing their cars but their flood lights were turned on. The rabbits were grazing on the soccer and baseball fields, while Labrona and family were grazing by the fence near the basketball court. The beautiful dawn sky was on display: band of haze with colors ranging from red, orange, yellow and light yellow: analogous colors peeking over the Sierras: undersides of the clouds were peach, gold and yellow colors while top of the clouds were light and dark gray, it looks like waves of gold waves moving Eastward: the full moon amid the cloud covers and dark blue sky. The birds were perched on the roof of the dining hall and on fences. They feasted on food discarded by inmates after breakfast, there were a few hundred birds in the flock. As the sun rise, the big red sphere illuminated the outline of the snow capped Sierras, brightened the sky and warmed the air. As the sun ascended, it changed colors from red, to orange, yellow and bright yellow and it was moving in and out of the clouds. I walked the trails on the soccer and baseball fields. Completed walking 6 miles at 7:40 AM, in 1 hour 14 minutes and 30 seconds. Average walking times were: 12 minutes and 25 seconds per mile or 2 minutes and 5 seconds per mile. Stretched, split stretched and practiced Yoga on the basketball court until 8:40 AM. The Stretch and Yoga practice felt good after the cold morning walk. I was able to exercise all phases: stretch, flexibility, balance and breathing. Finished my yoga practice with the corpse pose and visualized the beautiful dawn sky with all the colorful clouds, haze, analogous colors radiated out of the suns path and the spectacular sun rise. Opened my eyes to the partial sunshine and clouds moving in. Checked email from Doris at 8:40 AM: Doris is well and rested. She walked 8622 steps, step length was 16.3 inches step length and symmetry was 7.5%. Yesterday was the 316th consecutive days she closed the ring on her iPhone. She was disappointed that GSW lost their game last night to the Mavericks. Francis delivered some groceries to Doris. Cleaned the computer room. Counselor Reyes informed me that we won’t have any new inmates today. Talked to Doris at 9:00 AM: Doris is well. It was raining and cold in Pinole. The dogs came out and abruptly went back to their dog house to keep dry and warm. I told her I will sent her some information regarding our taxes for 2024, she will look into it. Francis delivered some groceries to her but he was on crutches as he slipped walking in the rain. I will be busy with tutoring, sewing, ACE Classes and hemming pants. Showered and changed to BOP uniform at 9:30 AM. Lunch was served at 10:10 AM. Luncheon menu: chili, fries, cheese, carrots, apple and water. Went to sewing room: fabricated pillow and cover and refilled pillow with more stuffing for Romero; and hemmed pants. GED/Statistics Tutoring 12:00 – 3:00 PM. It started raining at 3:00 PM.
