12/15/2024 Sunday daily dairy from Atwater Camp.
Woke up at 5:00 AM. Made up my bed, cleaned up, changed to BOP uniform and made a cup of coffee. Stretched, drank my coffee and watched the local news and weather report, high temperature for today is 56 degrees F. Started walking at 6:00 AM. Breakfast was served at 6:50 AM. Breakfast menu: Grits, cake, milk, sugar, apple and water (Semola de maiz, torta, leche, ezucar, un manzana y agua).

The morning started out dark, clear, slight breeze and cold – 38 degrees F. The lower atmosphere was clear an half moon was in the Western horizon and a light breeze. The autonomous car company had their flood light on but were not testing their vehicles. The rabbits were grazing on the soccer and baseball fields, while Labrona and family were grazing by the fence near the basketball court. The beautiful dawn sky was on display with band of reddish orange haze, analogous colors peeking over the Sierras, half moon setting in the Western horizon and dark blue sky. The birds were perched on the roof and fences, they feasted on food discarded by inmates after breakfast. As the sun rise over the Sierras, the big red sphere illuminated the sky and warmed the air. It was a welcomed sight instead of rain and fog. The snow covered peaks of the Sierras were visible. Completed walking 6 miles at 7:40 AM, in 1 hour 13 minutes and 48 seconds. Average walking times were: 12 minutes and 16 seconds per mile or 2 minutes and 3 seconds per lap. I walked the trails on the soccer and baseball fields. Stretched and spilt stretched until 8:00 AM. Called Doris at 8:00 AM: Doris is well and rested. She was waiting for Diana to bring her to Atwater. They will be driving the Genesis. I told her the sun is out in Atwater and is a good day for visitation. I will see her when she gets here, ETA 10:30 -11:00 AM. Went back to basketball and practiced Yoga in the morning sunshine until 8:40 AM. I was able to exercise all phases: strength, flexibility, balance and breathing. Finished my Yoga practice with the corpse pose and visualized the beautiful dawn sky, the spectacular sun rise with snow capped Sierras in the backdrop. Opened my eyes to the clear blue sky. Checked email from Doris at 8:40 AM: Doris is well and rested. She walked 8630 steps, 16.9 inches step length and symmetry was 7.3%. Yesterday was the 315th consecutive days she closed the ring on her iPhone. They will drive the Genesis to Atwater, ETA 10:30-11:00 AM. Showered and changed to BOP uniform at 9:00 AM. Lunch was served at 9:30 AM. Luncheon menu: fried eggs, toast with syrup, fries, apple and water. Census count at 10:00 AM. Had a short nap. Doris arrived at the visitation room at 10:45 AM: Doris is well and rested. CO Mason was IN charge of Visitation today. We had Dr. Pepper, Water, potatoes chips, rice crispy and chocolate, Hershey Chocolate and vegetable this for snack. Christina drove the Genesis to Atwater. The weather and drive here was fine. CO Mason was promoted to Recreation Supervisor in Fort Worth, Texas and he will leave in January 2025. She took care of the household bills. She was wondering if she could get someone to clean the yard, but decided to do it in spring. We will keep the house cleaning schedule to once a month, but if needed we will increase it to biweekly. Francis bought some rice and food from Costco and we deliver it to Doris at 6:00 PM tonight. Karlee, Chris and Doris was supposed to visit me on 12/28/2024. Quang and Annie might visit me during X’Mas. Marina invited Doris for X’Mas party but Doris declined the invitation as she will be visiting me on 12/28/2024. Doris left the visitation room at 2:30 PM. We had a very good visitation. AAPI had a Cheese cake party for Lyndon Huynh who is leaving on Tuesday 12/17/2024. Census count at 3:30 PM. Dinner was served after the count. Dinner menu: Beef tacos, black beans, rice, mixed vegetables and water. Worked on my EBRR assignments. Census count at 7:00 PM. Census count at 8:00 PM. Cleaned up at 9:00 PM. Final Census count at 9:30 PM. Went to bed at 10:00 PM.
