Woke up at 5:30 AM. Made up my bed, cleaned up, changed to BOP uniform and made a cup of coffee. Completed first four miles in 57 minutes and 26 seconds. Completed final two miles in 24 minutes and 42 seconds. Average walking times were: First four miles – 13 minutes and 7 seconds per mile (milla) or 2 minutes and 12 seconds per lap (vuelta). Final two miles – 12 minutes and 21 seconds per mile or 2 minutes and 4 seconds per lap. (yo camino rapido). The morning walk started out dark and cold, in the 30’s. Funny the sky was clear but I could not see the moon, only the Northern Star. As the walk progressed, the rabbits were busy grazing on the field and the dawn sky appeared gradually. It was filled with dark analogous colors that gradually turn to pastel colors. The sun rise was shielded by some low clouds over the horizon. The sun did not make its appearance until it was mid sky, by then is was a bright yellow sphere. The fog rolled in, but was quickly burnt off by the sun. Finished walking at 8:10 AM. Stretched and split stretch at the basketball court in the sunlight. The GED exam started at 8:00 AM. The stretch felt good, not so much aches and pain. Completed stretching at 9:10 AM. Cleaned the computer room. Had a nutty bar and some crackers for snacks. Showered at 9:30 AM. Changed to BOP uniform. Lunch was served at 10:10 AM. Luncheon menu: Tacos, shredded chicken, beans and punch. Did some sewing and repaired some pants. GED / ESL classes 12 -2:30 PM. Talked to Doris at 1:10 PM: Doris and Patches are well. Doris got her Medicare and Medicare supplement reinstated and she will only have to pay $30 per month. She did a good job resolving this issue. I had called after she had just resolved the issue. Patches told me that Geok called and send her regards. I told Doris she did an excellent job restoring her Medicare. I told them I had to go back to GED / ESL class. Worked at the sewing room after the class. Census count at 3:30 PM. Dinner was served after the count. Dinner menu: pull pork sandwich, sweet potato, beans, Cole slaw and punch. Census count at 7:00 PM. Census count at 8:00 PM. Cleaned up at 9:00 PM. Final Census count at 9:30 PM. Went to bed at 10:00 PM.
