The morning started dark foggy, light breeze and cold – 43 degrees F. the lower atmosphere was foggy, sparse clouds in mid sky. The flood lights and test tracks for the autonomous car company was visible. No rabbits in sight on the soccer and baseball fields. The beautiful dawn sky was on display; clouds on the suns path ranged form pink, red, mauve to gray colors, analogous colors peeking over the Sierras and dark gray clouds and dark blue sky. The birds were perched on the fences and roofs waiting for their food. They feasted on the food that the inmates left on the ground. As the sun rise over the Sierras, the red sphere changed colors as it ascended: red, striated red, orange, yellow and bright yellow. The clouds on the suns path were peach in color. The sphere finally disappeared into the clouds and fog. Completed 6 miles walk at 7:30 AM, in 1 hour 13 minutes and 29 seconds. Average walking times were: 12 minutes and 15 seconds per mile or 49 seconds per lap. The stretch and Yoga practice felt good after the cold morning walk. I was able to exercise all phases: strength, flexibility, balance and breathing. Finished my Yoga practice with the corpse pose and visualized the beautiful dawn sky, colorful clouds, beautiful analogous colors peeking over the Sierras, and the fog. The beautiful sun rise and different shades of color of the sun. This is the simple pleasures I can still enjoy even though I am incarcerated. Opened my eyes to the foggy sky with the sun trying to break through. We had an emergency Census count at 8:30 AM because of the fog. The sun finally came out after the count. Helped Yovani with his Statistics homework. Called Doris at 9:10 AM: Doris is well and rested. She has an appointment with Dr Scott Lee at 12:00 PM to repair her glasses.
