Completed six miles walk at 8:10 AM in 1 hour 18 minutes and 29 seconds. Average walking times were: 13 minutes and 5 seconds per mile ( milla) or 2 minutes 11 seconds per lap (vuelta). The morning walk started out dark and cold, the moon was not completely round and the rabbits were out grazing on the field. As the started to rise, it painted a beautiful dawn sky consisted of some dark brown, red, orange, yellow and beep blue sky. Gradually the complementary colors became light pastel colors. And the big orange sphere emerge to illuminate the low sparse clouds. It is a beautiful sight. The sun warmed up the air and I had to remove my jacket. Finished walking, stretched and split stretched at the basketball court in the sunlight. My legs were sore from walking and stretching, I had to roll it with a foam core roller to relieve the tightness. Finished stretching at 8:50 AM. Cleaned the computer room. Had some donuts and nutty bar for snacks. Counselor Reyes informed me that we will have an inmate joining us at the camp today. Showered at 9:30 AM and changed to BOP uniform. Lunch was served at 10:10 AM. Luncheon menu: Fish sandwich, spinach, pasta, Cole slaw, punch and an apple. Talk to Doris at 10:30 AM: Doris and Patches are well. She likes the new Hoka shoes. They filmed her gait and did a 3-D scan of her feet to size her shoes. I told her she should get the custom orthotics instead of the preformed orthotics from Sydney. I also recommended the plush orthotics and I agreed to pay for it. She would feel the difference. Doris told me that the $7500 lawyer was from NY, whereas the $3000 lawyer was with Michael Santos. I told her I sent the requested information to her. She also sent some information to me. She asked me to look over it and authorize Michael Santos to begin the 2 point sentence reduction. Doris and Patches congratulated me for having a good unit team meeting and hopefully I will go home early. I told them that I will not be hosting/ teaching any ACE classes tonight. Only the GED tutoring 12-2:3- PM.
GED tutoring 12-2:30 PM. Processed a new inmate at 3:00 PM, his name is Rodrigo Santos, not a relation of Michaela Santos. But I knew him when I was working at Caltrans. Census meeting at 3:30 PM. Dinner was served after the count. Dinner menu: sloppy Joe, Pasta, bread and punch. I showed Rodrigo around the camp to get him acclimated. ACE Class Belgium, Paris, France 5-5:30 and Financial Planning 7-7:30 PM. EBRR Class Healthy Steps for Older adults 6-7 PM. Worked on my Spanish between classes. Census count at 7:45 PM. Census count at 8:30 PM. Cleaned up at 9:00 PM. Final Census count at 9:30 PM. Went to bed at 10:00 PM.
