11/30/2023 Thursday daily diary from Atwater Camp.
Woke up at 5:30 AM. Made up my bed, cleaned up, changed to BOP uniform and made a cup of coffee. Stretched, drank my coffee and watched the local news and weather report, high temperature for today is 58 degrees F. Started walking at 6:35 AM. Breakfast was served at 6:20 AM. Breakfast menu: cereal, muffin, punch and an apple.

- ACE Class – Infectious Disease 5-6 PM (Teaching) and Personal Finance 6-6:30 PM.
Completed first three miles in 43 minutes and 18 seconds. Completed the final three miles in 40 minutes and 58 seconds. Average walking times were: First three miles – 14 minutes and 13 seconds per mile (milla) or 2 minutes 23 seconds per lap (vuelta). Final three miles 13 minutes and 26 seconds per mile or 2 minutes 15 seconds per lap. The morning walk started out dark, cold and overcast. Th moon was barely visible. The dawn sky was spectacular as it illuminated the cloud with hue of reddish brown. The sun rise was barely visible for a few minutes before it was blocked by the thick clouds. Finished walking at 8:30 AM. Stretch and split stretched. Had the unit team meeting with Camp Manager Mr Echeveste. He was very happy with my work and performance. My pattern score was very low and I will start earning 15 days per month FTC. My present projected release to Half way house is May 2025 or sooner. The 12 months home confinement for elder inmates – 2nd chance act was rescinded by President Biden. It was only enacted during the Covid 19. Showered at 10:00 AM. Lunch was served at 10:15 AM. Luncheon menu: Baked chicken, sweet potatoes, mixed vegetables, punch and an apple. Talked to Doris at 10:35 AM: Doris and Patches are well. Patches bought two pair of Hoka shoes. She will be busy working on her inventory for Saturday show. They will visit me on Sunday 12/3/2023. She changed the oil in the SUV. She talked to Joseph about the 2 point sentence reduction and will send some of the information to me today or tomorrow. Joseph also recommended that community attorney from Prison Professor. I will work with Thomas Johnson,and if there is no response from him, I will work with the community attorney. I was featured in Michael Santos Master class video, and they are saying that I am learning, teaching and working hard while in prison to improve myself. I told her about my unit Team Meeting and my low pattern scores, thus I will be earning 15 days FTC per month after this meeting. My projected release date was May 2025, six months earlier than previous projection. It could be earlier based on my future FTC. But my earlier projection was based on the 2nd Chance or Cares Act that was rescinded by President Biden because of conclusion of Covid 19. GED tutoring 12:00 – 2:30 PM. The tutoring went well, worked with some students to prepare them for the GED examination on 12/8/2023. Processed two new inmates today. Census count at 3:30 PM. Dinner was served after the count. Dinner Menu: roast beef, hot dog bun, condiments and punch. ACE Class – An Introduction to Infectious Disease 4-5 PM (Hosting Class) and Financial Planning 6-6:30 PM. Census count at 6:45 PM. Census count at 8:00 PM. Cleaned up at 9:00 PM. Final Census count at 9:30 PM. Went to bed at 10:00 PM.
Today was a good day: Doris and Patches are well. Good unit team meeting and review, earning 15 days FTD per month. Walked 6 miles and split stretched. Conducted ACE Class Introduction to Infectious disease. Attended ACE Class Personal Financial Plan 6-6:30 PM.
