Completed the first three miles in 44 minutes and 17 seconds. Finished the final three miles in 39 minutes and 45 seconds. Average walking times were – First Three miles – 14 minutes and 19 seconds per mile (milla) or 2 minutes 24 seconds per lap (vuelta). Final three miles – 13 minutes and 15 seconds per mile or 2 minutes 13 seconds per lap. The morning started out dark and cold. The moon was big and round in the western sky. Rabbits were out grazing on the field. It is the end of the month, thus the moon is so big and round. As the sun started to rise, the dawn sky was filled with a whole array of colors and different shading, a beautiful sight. The sun rise was spectacular as it was nearer as it starts to migrate to the Southern Hemisphere. The sun was large and bright Orange sphere. As the morning progressed, the clouds started rolling in during my walk. Finished walking at 8:30 AM. Stretched and split stretched at the basketball court. My stretch was a little tight possibly because of the cold weather. Finished stretching at 9:10 AM. Had a nutty bar and chips for snack. Counselor Reyes informed me that we will have a new inmate joining us around noon today. Showered at 9:30 AM. Talked to Doris at 10:05 AM: Doris and Patches are well. It is raining in the Bay Area. I told Doris that the GED Class might be cancel because Mrs. Hubbard is not here. I told her about the two point reduction program has been taking application since November 1. I will have to confirm it. She will call Michael Santos to confirm the fact. I confirmed it and will email Thomas Johnson to request on my behalf. But I will have to write the justification on what I have done in prison to deserve the reduction in sentence. I confirmed that we could file the motion in November but they will not grant the sentence reduction until February 1, 2024. New Inmates has confirmed that their sentences were reduced retroactive in November prior to their sentence. I will send a request to Thomas Johnson and copy the email to Doris. Doris and Patches are going to Marshalls, Costco, Ranch 99 and Road Runner Sports to do some shopping while the weather is bad outside. I told her that I will do some sewing, practice my Spanish lessons and process the new inmate coming in today.
Lunch was served at 10:15 AM. Luncheon menu: hamburger, cheese, fries, punch and an apple. I confirmed the two point reduction with David and he informed me that, new inmates just getting to prison already have the sentence reduced retroactive in November 1. The courts will process the request for existing inmates and reduce the sentence by February 1.
I emailed Thomas John requesting he look into my case at 11:30 AM. GED Tutoring 12:00 – 2:30 PM. Mrs Hubbard made it. Counselor Reyes informed me that the new inmate has his self surrender was postponed for two months until February. GED tutoring went very well, more students are understanding Algebra and know how to program the calculator. The calculator will graph the functions for them, makes them understand the functions better. Did some sewing after the GED classes. Back to the unit at 3:30 PM. Census count at 3:50 PM. Dinner was served after the count. Dinner menu: shredded ham, salad, carrot and punch. ACE Class Parenting 5-5:30 PM. EBRR Class Healthy Wellness throughout the life span 6-7 PM. Census count at 6:50 PM. Census count at 8:00 PM. Cleaned up at 9:00 PM. Final Census count at 9:30 PM. Went to be at 10:00 PM.
Today was a good day: Doris and Patches are well. Walked 6 miles and split stretched. Requested Thomas Johnson to request two point reduction on my behalf. Good GED tutoring classes. Attended ACE and EBRR classes.
