The morning started out dark, foggy, slight breeze and cold – 41 degree F. The lower atmosphere was cover with thick fog. The autonomous car company testing site was not visible, neither was the flood lights. No signs of any wildlife on the soccer or baseball fields. The sky brightened but all was visible was the thick fog. No sign of the birds or squirrels after breakfast, so the inmates left their food on the ground outside the dining hall. As the sun rise, all I could see initially was a bright spot through the fog, as the sun ascended, I could see the outline of the sun and eventually the bright sun. The sun slowly burnt off the fog and I could see the floodlights and the testing ground of the autonomous car company. The clouds near the sun was peach and light gray colors and the blue sky. As the sun burnt off the fog and reveals the outlines of the Sierras and Santa Lucia highlands and warmed the air. Th birds appeared and they were on the roof, perched on the fences or feasting on food on the ground. There must have been a couple of hundred birds. Finished walking 6 miles at 7:40 AM, in 1 hour 12 minutes and 39 seconds. Average walking times were: 12 minutes and 7 seconds per mile or 49 seconds per lap. Stretched, split stretched and practiced Yoga in the morning sunshine at the basketball until 8:35 AM. The stretch and Yoga practice felt good after the cold morning walk and in the warm sunshine. Surprise fog count at 8:30 AM. Finished my Yoga practice at 9:10 AM. I was able to exercise all phases: strength, flexibility, balance and breathing. Finished my Yoga practice with the corpse pose and visualized our trip to the cactus and Botanical garden in San Diego. The cactus garden had a huge variety of cactus and succulent plants that I have not seen before also some of the matured plants looked very different with flowers. The botanical garden was huge with different flower exhibitions, exotic plants, orchids, fountain, water lilies and lotus plants. There were lots of tree species scattered around the garden. The beauty and wonder of nature. Opened my eyes to the sunny blue sky with whiffs of cirrus clouds. Talked to Doris at 9:15 AM: Doris is well and rested. The sun was out in Pinole and the dogs are out running around and eating their food. She will stay home today to clean the yards and relax. Census count at 10:00 AM. Lunch was served at 10:30 AM.
