The morning started out dark, breezy, hazy, cloudy and cool – 48 degrees F. The lower atmosphere was hazy, cloudy, clearing in the East and Southern horizons, 1/2 moon was in the mid sky and clouds moving in from Northwest towards the Southeast. The autonomous car company was testing vehicles with semi trailers, pick up with tow trailers and passenger cars. The rabbits were grazing on the soccer and baseball fields, while Labrona and family were grazing by the fence near the basketball court. The beautiful dawn sky was on display: reddish orange band of haze, analogous colors peeking over the Sierras, clouds in the path of the sun was orange gold color, underside of the clouds were reddish orange color, far away clouds were peach color and the 1/2 moon was barely visible amid the clouds. The birds feasted on cake left on the ground by the inmates after breakfast. As the morning progressed, beautiful display of colored clouds and the beautiful outline of the Sierras was revealed. As the sun rise over the Sierras, the outline was very distinct and the big orange sphere ascended over the Sierras, it illuminated the sky and warmed the air. More clouds started rolling in. Completed washing my blanket and sheets at 7:20 AM. The EBRR Classes at 7:30 AM and 8:30 AM were cancelled because the CO did not show up for class. The vendor changed out the soft drink vending machine. Completed walking 6 miles at 7:40 AM, in 1 hour 13 minutes and 19 seconds. Average walking times were: 12 minutes and 14 seconds per mile or 2 minutes and 3 seconds per lap. Stretched, split stretched and practiced yoga at the basketball court until 8:50 AM. The Yoga practice felt good and I was able to exercise all phases: strength, flexibility, balance and breathing. Finished my Yoga practice with the corpse pose and visualized the beautiful dawn sky, colorful clouds, the spectacular sun rise and dark gray clouds rolling in. Opened my eyes to the dark gray cloudy sky. Jon brought some Khakis for repairs and 40 dozens of pants for hemming. Showered and changed to to BOP uniform at 9:20 AM. I will be busy with my ACE Classes, GED/Statistics tutoring and hemming some pants for the Penitentiary. The contractor was installing Wi Fi in the dormitory and it was very noisy. Lunch was served at 10:20 AM. Luncheon menu: fried fish sandwich, macaroni and cheese, carrots, bread, apple and water. Checked email from Doris at 10:50 AM: Doris is well and rested.
