Finished first two miles in 28 minutes and 49 seconds. Picked up my commissary items at 7:15 AM, spent $62.80 at the store. Completed the final four miles in 49 minutes 24 seconds. Average walking times were: 1) First two miles – 14 minutes and 25 seconds per mile (milla) or 2 minutes and 29 seconds per lap (vuelta). 2) Final four miles – 12 minutes 10 seconds per mile or 2 minutes and 2 seconds per lap. The final four miles was at a faster pace as I was sweating. Finished walking at 8:20 AM. Stretched at the basketball court in the sunlight. The morning walk started out with the beautiful dawn sky, low clouds and fog. The sun rise was shield until it was midway up in the sky. The temperature was frigid in the 50’s. The stretch and split stretch was okay as my legs were sore. Checked and replied to Doris email: she walked 6635 steps with a soft cast. That’s way beyond my expectation. They harvested lots of figs and persimmons and had lunch at Ranch 99. Patches and Doris will be visiting tomorrow. I confirmed with them that the visitation is open tomorrow. I cleaned the computer room. Showered at 9:20 AM. Lunch was served at 10:00 AM. Luncheon menu: hamburger, fries, an apple and punch. Went to sewing room with cleaned uniforms. Repaired uniforms and organized them. Exchanged 3 pair of pants for Nick. Exchanged jacket for Gudgel. Talked to Doris at 11:00 AM: Doris and Patches are doing well. Doris is more confident walking with the soft cast, she walked 6635 steps yesterday. Kein had lunch with them yesterday at Ranch 99. They also had dinner cooked by Patches. I confirmed with them that the visitation is on tomorrow. They are going to Ranch 99 to pick up a duck for the Altar. They will leave home early for the visit tomorrow. I will call them to confirm their ETA for Visitation.
Went to sewing room to organize inventory and uniforms and practiced my Spanish. Back to the unit at 3:00 PM. Census count at 3:30 PM. Found out that my unit team meeting was scheduled for 12/7/2023. Camp Manager Mr. Echeveste will interview us between 11/27/2023 – 12/1/2023 for the unit team meeting.
