The morning started out dark, sparse clouds, light breeze, hazy and cold – 34 degrees F. The lower atmosphere was very hazy with plumes of dark smoke in the Southern and Western horizons, full moon at 2 o’clock in the mid sky. The autonomous car company was not testing their vehicles, just maintaining their equipment’s. The rabbits were grazing on the soccer and baseball fields, while Labrona and family were grazing by the fence near the basketball court. The beautiful dawn sky was on display: the colors on the band of haze ranged form mauve, red, light red and orange, analogous colors peeking over the Sierras, full moon in mid sky and the dark blue sky. The birds appeared after breakfast and were feasting on food left by the inmates on the ground. As the sun rise over the Sierras, the red sphere changed colors as it ascended through the layers of haze from: red, orange, yellow and bright yellow, it illuminated the Sierras and warmed the air. Th moon was stuck in the mid sky at 2 o’clock, it normally would have set on the Western horizon. Completed walking 6 miles at 7:30 AM, in 1 hour 13 minutes and 30 seconds. Average walking times were: 12 minutes and 15 seconds per mile or 2 minutes and 3 seconds per lap. Stretched, split stretched and practiced Yoga at the basketball court in the morning sunshine until 8:40 AM. The stretch and Yoga practice felt good after the cold morning walk. I was able to exercise all phases: strength, flexibility, balance and breathing. Finished my Yoga practice with the corpse pose and visualized our trip to Folsom Dam. It was a huge dam in Northern California and it produces hydroelectricity, water for the Bay Area and the Aqueduct water system. The dam was huge and there were lots of boating activities on the dam. The drive along the dam was beautiful and the air was clean. Opened my eyes to the hazy blue sky with the moon in mid sky. Talked to Doris at 9:00 AM: Doris is well and rested. She had a very good visitation yesterday and they had dinner at China Kitchen. She walked after dinner and closed the ring on her iPhone. Unfortunately, she tripped Over the carpet as she came inside from the back door and injured her ankle, shoulder and bumped her head. She had to apply analgesic ointment to help reduce the pain and swelling. Diana and Christina had to come over the house to help her off the floor. A lot of the vendors at the Pinole gift show wondered why she did not do the show. She told them she was busy visiting me. I told her I will have a relaxing day and will try to catch up on my reading and my ACE Class report. She will stay at home to nurse her injury. Lunch was served at 9:30 AM. Luncheon menu: fried eggs, biscuits with gravy, fries, apple and water. Checked email from Doris: Doris is well but injured herself. She walked 8643 steps, 16.4 inches step length and symmetry was 7.1%. Yesterday was the 287th consecutive days she closed the ring on her iPhone.
