The morning started out dark, hazy, cloudy and cold – 43 degrees F. The lower atmosphere was hazy with plumes of dark smoke on the Eastern, Southern and Western horizons, Stratus clouds and some cirrus clouds. The autonomous car company tested their vehicles at night and stopped at sun rise. The rabbits were grazing on the soccer and baseball fields, while Labrona and family were grazing by the fence near the basketball court. The beautiful dawn sky was was on display: red band of haze, analogous colors peeking over the Sierras with a prominent band of sea foam green color, peach and orange colored clouds and dark gray stratus clouds. Neither the birds nor the squirrels appeared after the early breakfast and the inmates just left their food on the ground. As the morning progressed, several streaks of red haze were emanating from the West to ward the East and the outline of the Sierras were covered with red haze. As the sub rise, the red sphere changed color from: red, orange, yellow to bright yellow as it passed through the different layer of haze, and a prominent band of Sea foam green under the clouds. The sun illuminated the sky and warmed the air, but disappeared in and out of the clouds as it ascended. Completed walking 6 miles at 7:40 AM, in 1 hour 13 minutes and 21 seconds. Average walking times were: 12 minutes and 14 seconds per mile or 2 minutes and 3 seconds per lap. Stretched, split stretched and practiced Yoga at the basketball court until 8:40 AM. The stretch and Yoga practice felt good after the cold morning walk. I finished my Yoga practice with the corpse pose and visualized our trip through Salt Lake City. Part of the lake was filled with salt flats and people were walking on it, The white was glaring for the eyes. The scenery was beautiful around Salt Lake City. We had a simple lunch at McDonalds. Opened my eyes to the cloudy blue sky. I did not get anything from Commissary. Went to sewing room to hem some pants for the Penitentiary. Talked to Doris at 9:10 AM: Doris is well and rested. It was cold in Pinole when she let the dogs out. She has an appointment with Dr. Jasmine Lee to follow up on her Asthma. She will clean the backyard and put the trash cans out for garbage day tomorrow. I told her I will be busy with tutoring, and Statistics class and some custom sewing.
