The morning started out dark, foggy and cold – 43 degrees F. The lower atmosphere was all fogged in by the Tully fog. The autonomous car company was not testing their vehicles but their flood lamps were on. The rabbits were grazing on the soccer and baseball fields, while Labrona and family were grazing by the fence near the basketball court. As the morning progressed the sky brightened and the fog was very thick and visibility was less than 100 yards. The birds appeared after breakfast and feasted on the food left by inmates on the ground. As the sun rise over the Sierras, I could only see a bright sphere through the fog. As the sun ascended, the fog slowly burnt off. Completed walking 6 miles at 7:40 AM, in 1 hour 13 minutes and 48 seconds. Average walking times were: 12 minutes and 18 minutes per mile or 2 minutes and 3 seconds per lap. Stretched, split stretched and practiced Yoga at the basketball court until 8:40 AM. The sun finally burnt out the fog and I could see the blue sky but lots of dark and white smoke from the Central Valley and Mountain fires and were blowing towards the Northeast direction. The stretch and Yoga practice felt good after the cold foggy morning walk. I was able to exercise all phases: strength, flexibility, balance and breathing. Finished my Yoga practice with the corpse pose and visualized our return trip on I-80 from Chicago. We passed through Omaha, Nebraska. There were miles and miles of green corn fields on our drive to Omaha. We checked into a motel and the clerk recommended the best steak house in Omaha to us. It had a status of a cow on the roof of the restaurant. There was a wedding reception at another part of the restaurant. We ordered a variety of steaks, appetizers and had a couple bottles of Testarossa wine. The steak tasted very good especially with the wine. Opened my eyes to the blue sky with white smoke. Talked to Doris at 9:00 AM: Doris is well and rested. She let the dogs out and it was cold in Pinole. She will try to promote her Etsy web page. She will watch the GSW / Mavericks game tonight. She has recorded all the winning games for me. I told her she will need to erase some games, otherwise we will run out of space. I told her I will be busy with GED/Statistics tutoring and Statistics class today. Showered and changed to BOP uniform at 9:30 AM. Cleaned the computer room.. Checked email from Doris: Doris is well. She walked 8744 steps, 16.5 inches step length and symmetry was 7.7%. Yesterday was the 282th consecutive days she closed the ring on her iPhone. She will walk indoors to keep warm and enjoy the GSW/Mavericks game tonight. Lunch was served at 10:20 AM. Luncheon menu: BBQ pork sandwich, rice, beans, apple and water. Went to sewing room: repaired uniforms, shortened and altered 2X shirt for Chris Housley and altered 34X27 pants for Jesus Torres. GED/Statistics tutoring at 12:00 – 1:45 PM. Statistics Class 1:45 – 3:00 PM. Census count at 3:30 PM. Dinner was served after the count. Dinner menu: pork sausage, buns, fried potatoes, mixed vegetables and water. Census count at 7:00 PM. Watch some of the Warriors game on NBA TV. Census count at 8:00 PM. Cleaned up at 9:00 PM. Final Census count at 9:30 PM. Went to bed at 10:00 PM.
