The morning started out dark, breezy, hazy, sparse clouds and cold – 44 degrees F. The lower atmosphere was hazy with plumes of dark smoke on the Eastern, Southern and Western horizons, and clouds were moving in from the Northwest towards the Southeast. The autonomous car company was testing their cars intermittently. The rabbits were grazing on the soccer and baseball fields, while Labrona and family were grazing by the fence near the basketball court. The beautiful dawn sky was on display with reddish band of haze, golden and peach colored cirrus clouds and analogous colors radiated out of the suns path: red, orange, yellow, light green, light blue and dark blue sky with Gray clouds. The birds appeared after breakfast and they were feasting on food left on the ground by the inmates. As the morning progressed, the clouds started rolling in from the Northwest and it looked like a wave of peach golden waves. As the sun rise, the red sphere changed color as it passed through different layers of haze, from red, orange, yellow to brilliant yellow colors, The sun warmed up the air. Finished walking 6 miles at 7:40 AM, in 1 hour 13 minutes and 12 seconds. Average walking times were: 12 minutes and 12 seconds per mile or 2 minutes and 2 seconds per lap. The sun was slowly shielded by the clouds and more thick clouds started rolling in. It was supposed to rain at noon today. Stretched, split stretched and practiced Yoga at the basketball court until 8:40 AM. The stretch and Yoga practice felt good after the cold morning walk. I was able to exercise all phases: strength, flexibility, balance and breathing. Finished my Yoga practice with the corpse pose and visualized our trip back on I-80 after Chicago. We stopped by the world’s largest truck stop in Des Moines, Iowa. It was a very big and had hundreds of gas pumps for gasoline, restaurants, showers, gift shops, shopping, game arcade. We had lunch and coffee and wandered around the facility and was in awe of its size and took a lot of pictures. Lots of tourists were there to visit the truck stop. Opened my eyes to the cloudy sky. I hope it rain all over the Central Valley to help put out the Central Valley and Mountain fires. Talked to Doris at 9:05 AM: Doris is well and rested. It was raining and cold in Pinole. The dogs were keeping warm under the blankets in the patio and their dog house. Christina’s friend will help Doris bring the car for Smog and hope to get the registration tags in Safeway.
