The morning started out dark, hazy, breezy, cloudy and cold – 54 degrees F. The lower atmosphere was hazy, cloudy except for a clearing in the Southeast over the Sierras and clearing in mid sky. The breeze was making the wind chill factor feel like 40’s. The autonomous car company was testing their car intermittently. The rabbits were grazing on the soccer and baseball fields, while Labrona and family were grazing by the fence near the basketball court. The beautiful dawn sky was on display, band of reddish orange haze, clouds in the suns path were orange and gold colors and analogous colors peeking over the Sierras. After breakfast, the birds appeared to feast on food left by the inmates. As the sun rise over the Sierras, the big reddish orange sphere brightened the sky, as it ascended, it was shielded by the clouds. Completed walking 6 miles at 7:40 AM, in 1 hour 13 minutes and 45 seconds. Average walking times were: 12 minutes and 18 seconds per mile or 2 minutes and 3 seconds per lap. Stretched, split stretched and practiced Yoga at the basketball court until 8:50 AM. The stretch and Yoga practice felt good after the cold morning walk. I was able to exercise all phases: strength, flexibility, balance and breathing. Finished my Yoga practice with the corpse pose and visualized our trip to Santa Fe, New Mexico. The city was filled with Pueblo houses – Spanish architecture with Southwest desert landscape with cactus and succulents. We wandered through town which had lots of arts and craft, Turquoise jewelry and lots of Art galleries. We enjoyed our Southwest Tex Mex lunch with a frozen Margarita. Opened my eyes to the cloudy blue sky and the sun was peeking through the clouds. I did not get anything from the Commissary today. Talked to Doris at 9:00 AM: Doris is well and rested. She was disappointed that Trump was the new President. Geok texted her to update about the twins. It was cold in Pinole and she will do her walking indoors. Comcast is coming by the house to fix the home alarm, between 2:00 – 4:00 PM. She will email me after it is restored. She will enjoy the GSW/Celtics game tonight. I told her I will be busy with tutoring, teaching the math class how to use the calculator and attending ACE Class tonight. Showered and changed to BOP uniform at 9:30 AM. Brought some cleaned uniforms to sewing room and repaired pants for Madi. Lunch was served at 10:20 AM. Luncheon menu: hamburger, onions, potatoes chips and water. Checked email from Doris at 11:00 AM: Doris is well and rested. She walked 8964 steps, 16.9 inches step length and symmetry was 7.4%. Yesterday was the 276th consecutive days she closed the ring on her iPhone. She will clean the Altar, walk indoors and wait for Comcast to repair the home alarm. Went to sewing room: set the clocks, repaired uniforms, altered sweats for Jesus Torres, sewed pockets for jacket for Romero. GED/Statistics tutoring 12:00 – 1:30 PM. GED Calculator usage class 1:30 – 2:30 PM. Counselor Reyes informed me that we will have a new inmate off the bus tomorrow. Census count at 3:30 PM. Dinner was served after the count. Dinner menu: Spaghetti with Marinara sauce, spinach, mixed vegetables, and bread bread. I decided to have Noodles with Mackerel and pork rinds instead. ACE Class Building and Repairing Credit 5-5:30 AM. Census count at 7:00 PM. Census count at 8:00 PM. Cleaned up at 9:00 PM. Final Census count at 9:30 PM. Went to bed at 10:00 PM.
