11/6/2023 Monday Daily Diary from Atwater Camp.
Woke up at 5:00 AM. Made up my bed, cleaned up, changed to BOP Uniform and made a cup of coffee. Stretched, drank my coffee and watched the local news and weather report, high temperature for today is 72 degrees F. Started walking at 5:40 AM. Breakfast was served at 6:30 AM. Breakfast menu: Oatmeal, Muffin, apple and punch/

Plan for Today:

  1. Stretch.
  2. Call Doris.
  3. Check email from Doris.
  4. Email daily diary for 11/5/2023.
  5. Walk 6 Miles.
  6. Split Stretch.
  7. Quotations.
  8. Criminal Thinking 7:30 – 8:30 PM.

Completed first two miles in 26 minutes 15 seconds. My walk was stopped by the CO as they had a mini shakedown to look for contrabands. Criminal Thinking 7:30 – 8:30 PM. Finished walking 6 miles at 9:15 AM. The morning walk started out dark but comfortable. Only the rabbits were out on the trial. The sky was overcast. The dawn sky was gray with the clouds. Started walking after the Criminal Thinking class at the basketball court. the CO searched the sewing room for contrabands but did not find anything. Counselor Reyes told me that three new incoming inmates will be joining the camp today. I told officer Gunn that I needed blankets and he will have Jon deliver the blankets to the sewing room. Continue walking until 9:15 AM. Showered at 9:50 AM. Sent a cop out to Camp Manager to request hearing test for me. I told him that the hearing test has been scheduled several times, he promised to look into it. Lunch was served at 10:15 AM. Luncheon menu: chicken tacos, beans, corn, punch and an apple. Talked to Doris at 10:40 AM: Doris is well and in good spirit. I told her we had a mini shakedown and they searched the sewing room for contraband. She finished the Release Plan and is waiting for Diana to to bring her to the post office to mail it to me. She will have an appointment with Dr Jasmine Lee on 11/13/2023 and with Dr Scott Lee on 11/18/2023. I hope he will prescribe corrective lenses to help her see. Mava told Doris she was disappointed that she could not get to take a picture with me/ I told Doris I have to balance because she is helping Doris and I will try not to upset Mava and Doris too. I will take a group picture when Patches is here, but not with Mava alone. She walked yesterday and her step length has improved to 14.2 inches. I told her she should also learn to get up and down from the couch to develop her muscles.
Sent ACE Class Reports: Small Business Workshop, Italy and European Cities to Prison Professor and Doris. We expect 3 new incoming inmates today. Went to sewing room and prepare Bus bags for new inmates. Census count at 3:30 PM. Dinner was served after the count. Dinner menu: pull pork sandwich, beans, Cole slaw, punch and an apple. Inmates finally camp to camp at 5:00 PM. Processed all three of them by 5:30 PM. Got beds for all three of the inmates at 7:00 PM. Census count at 7:30 PM. Census count at 8:30 PM. Cleaned up at 9:00 PM. Final Census count at 9:30 PM. Went to bed at 10:00 PM.
Today was a good day: Doris is well. She finished the Release plan. She is walking very well. Submitted three ACE Class reports. Walked 6 miles. Split Stretched. GED Tutoring.
