The morning started out dark, windy, hazy and cold – 44 degrees F. The lower atmosphere was hazy with plumes of dark smoke on the Western and Southern horizons, it was a very windy and wind chill factor made the temperature felt like freezing. The beautiful dawn sky was on display with analogous colors radiated out of the suns path over the Sierras: red, orange, yellow, light green, light blue and blue sky. The autonomous car company was just maintaining their equipment. The rabbits were grazing on the soccer and baseball fields, while Labrona and family were grazing near the basketball court. After breakfast, neither the squirrels nor the birds appeared probably because of the cold weather and windy weather. As the sun rise over the Sierras, the reddish orange sphere appeared very large, it illuminated the sky and warmed the air. Completed walking 6 miles at 7:40 AM, in 1 hour 13 minutes and 45 seconds. Average walking times were: 12 minutes and 18 seconds per mile or 2 minutes and 3 seconds per lap. Put my sweat pants scarf to good use, it kept my ears, head and neck warm. Stretched, split stretched and practiced Yoga at the basketball court until 8:50 AM. It was a windy morning to practice Yoga and I had to work extra hard to maintain my balance. The stretch and Yoga practice felt good after the cold morning walk. I was able to exercise all phases: strength, balance, flexibility and breathing. Finished my Yoga practice with the corpse pose and visualized our trip to Holbrook, Arizona which was on our Route 66 Trail. We went to look at the Wig Wam Hotel which had hotel rooms made out of Tee Pee but it had a nice bed, television, phone and bathroom in each of the Tee Pee. There were old gas stations and repair shops. We walked through town to soak in the nostalgic ambience. We visited old diners, hamburger stands, and drug store with soda fountain. We took a lot of pictures of the town. Opened my eyes to the blue sky. Talked to Doris at 8:50 AM: Doris is well and rested. She asked why I was late calling her, I told her it was day light savings time and we had to turn our clock back an hour at 2:00 AM. She thought we were suppose to change it on Monday morning. She had a nice visitation yesterday. They had dinner at China Kitchen when they got home. It was raining and cold in Pinole. She will walk indoors to stay dry and keep warm. She will watch the replay of GSW game against the Rockets. I told her she should increase her steps threshold to 9,000 steps before Thanksgiving and to 10,000 steps by Christmas or New Year 2025. I will work on my ACE Class Reports. Lunch was served at 9:30 AM. Luncheon menu: Fried eggs, pancake with syrup, fries, apple and water. Census count at 10:00 AM. Checked email form Doris at 10:20 AM: Doris is well and rested. She walked 8705 steps, 16.2 inches step length and symmetry was 7.9%. Yesterday was the 273rd consecutive days she closed the ring on her iPhone. She enjoyed the visitation yesterday and we are down to 11 visitation before my half way house. Her next visitation will be on 11/16/2024, Christina had volunteer to drive her to Atwater. It was raining in Pinole so she will stay home and walk indoors. Showered and changed to casual clothes at 10:50 AM. Had a short nap. Went to library to work on my ACE Class Report Culinary Art, Professional Chef. Completed my ACE Class Report. Census count at 3:30 PM. Dinner was served after the count. Dinner menu: chicken fried rice, carrots, beans, bread and water. Census count at 7:00 PM. Census count at 8:00 PM. Cleaned up at 9:00 PM.
