The morning started out dark, cloudy, hazy, breezy and cold – 51 degrees F. The lower atmosphere was cloudy wit a clearing above the Sierras and a light drizzle. The beautiful dawn sky consisted of a bad of red haze over the Sierras and the dark gray clouds. The autonomous car company was testing their cars this morning. The rabbits were grazing on the soccer and baseball fields, while Labrona and family were grazing by the fence near the basketball court. As the morning progressed, the sky brightened and analogous colors peeking over the Sierras amid the band of red haze. No squirrels appeared after breakfast, but the birds feasted on the food left by the inmates. As the sun rise over the Sierras, the sun rays radiated out of the sun. As it ascended it was shielded by the thick clouds. It was supposed to be cloudy in the morning and clearing around noon. Completed walking six miles at 7:40 AM, in 1 hour and 14 minutes and 2 seconds. Average walking times were: 12 minutes and 21 seconds per mile or 2 minutes and 4 seconds per lap. Stretched, split stretched and practiced Yoga at the basketball court until 8:50 AM. The stretch and Yoga practiced was what I needed after the cold morning walk and I was able to exercise all phases: Strength, flexibility, balance and breathing. Finished my Yoga practice with the corpse pose and visualized our trip to Palo Duro Canyon, Texas. The canyon was located 20-30 miles south of Amarillo. It was supposed to be a second Grand Canyon, it had lots of canyons from water erosion and lots of scenic areas for pictures. Lots to see and hiking to vista points for photos. Opened my eyes to the cloudy gray sky. It was commissary day but I did not buy anything from the store. Went to sewing room: shortened sweat pants and fabricated two scarfs for Armand. Talked to Doris at 9:10 AM: Doris is well and rested. Her vision is getting clearer after her injection. She will stay at home today to clean the yard, walk and put the garbage cans out for garbage days tomorrow. She enjoyed the Warriors win over the Pelicans. I told her I will be busy with tutoring and Statistics class today. Showered and changed to BOP uniform at 9:30 AM. Washed my laundry at 10:10 AM. Lunch was served at 10:20 AM. Luncheon menu: Baked chicken, macaroni and cheese, mixed vegetables, bread and water. Checked email form Doris: Doris is well and rested. She walked 8677 steps, 17.3 inches step length and symmetry was 7.9%. Yesterday was the 270th consecutive days she closed the ring on her iPhone. She will be busy in the backyard cleaning it, walking and putting the trash cans out for garbage days tomorrow. Christina will bring her to visit me on Saturday. Finished my laundry at 12:00 PM. GED/Statistics tutoring 12:00 – 1:45 PM. Statistics class 1:45 – 3:00 PM. Census count at 3:30 PM. Dinner was served after the count.
