10/27/2023 Friday daily Diary from Atwater Camp.
Woke up at 5:30 AM. Made up my bed, cleaned up, changed to BOP uniform and made a cup of coffee. Stretched, drank my coffee and watched the local news and weather report, high temperature for today is 66 degrees F. Started walking at 6:25 AM. Breakfast was served at 6:30 AM. Breakfast menu: Oatmeal, cookies and an apple.

- ACE Classes – Italy 4-4:30 PM and Small Business Workshop 6-6:30 PM. 9) GED tutoring 12:00 – 2:30 PM.
Completed walking 6 miles at 8:00 AM in 1 hour 17 minutes and 20 seconds. Average times were 12 minutes and 54 seconds per mile or 2 minutes and 9 seconds per lap. pretty good time for a frigid morning. the morning started out dark and cold 40’s. I had to wear a jacket and gloves for walking. The dawn sky was beautiful and sunrise was majestic, made up for the cold weather. Stretched at the laundry room. Completed my regular stretch and split stretch at 8:30 AM. Hemmed a pair of overalls for Gudgett. back to the unit at 9:00 AM. Had some donuts and warm water for snacks. Showered at 9:40 AM. Lunch was served at 10:05 AM. Luncheon menu: Fish sandwich, spinach, pasta, bread and an apple. Talked to Doris at 10:30 AM: Doris is well but feeling the effects of the Flu / Covid shot. I told her to rest so she could recover from the shot. She had a good rest but was not feeling well, so she did not walk too much. Francis moved in this morning at 3:00 AM. She asked about the tutoring, I told her it was going well and some of the inmates are learning well. She asked if I had any sewing today, I told her I just hemmed a jumpsuit and did some minor repairs before tutoring. Also I will be working to revise my Release Plan, so I could send it to her soon. GED tutoring from 12:00 – 2:30 PM. Back to the unit at 2:30 PM. Dinner was served at 3:15 PM. Dinner menu: salad, green beans, pasta and bread. Census count at 3:30 PM. ACE Classes Italy 4-4:30 PM and Small Business Workshop 6-6:30 PM. Census count at 7:30 PM. Census count at 8:30 PM. Cleaned up at 9:00 PM. Final Census count at 9:30 PM. Went to bed at 10:00 PM.
Today was a good day: Doris is not feeling well because of the flu/covid shot. Hopefully she will feel better in a couple of days. Francis moved in this morning. Walked 6 miles, Split Stretch. GED tutoring went well. Attended ACE Classes. Received my ACE class certifications. The dogs are well.
