10/24/2023 Tuesday daily diary from Atwater Camp.
Woke up at 5:30 AM. Made up my bed, cleaned up, changed to BOP uniform, and made a cup of coffee. Stretched, drank my coffee and watched the local news and weather report, high temperature for today is 77 Degrees F. Started walking at 6:25 AM. Breakfast was served at 6:30 AM. Breakfast menu: cereal, cookies and a banana.

Plan for Today:

  1. Stretch.
  2. Call Doris.
  3. Check email for Doris.
  4. Email daily diary for 10/23/23.
  5. Walk 6 miles.
  6. Split stretch.
  7. Quotations.
  8. ACE Class Art History 1 4-5 PM.
  9. GED Algebra Tutoring 12-1 PM, 1:30 – 2:30 PM.

Completed first 4 miles in 53 minutes 58 seconds. Final two miles in 23 minutes 48 seconds. First 4 miles average time was 13 minutes 30 seconds per mile (milla) or 2 minutes 15 seconds per lap (veulta). Final 2 miles average times were 11 minutes 54 seconds per mile of 1 minute 59 seconds per lap. First 4 miles were warm up pace, final two miles were faster. The morning was cool and dark. The dawn sky was picturesque because of the smog and haze. There were some low clouds over the Sierras. As the sun rise, the sun had a fiery orange reddish hue after it cleared the Sierras, It was blocked by the low clouds until it reappeared again over the clouds. It was like having two sun rises, beautiful view. helped the Commissary crew unloaded some merchandise for tomorrow. Finished walking at 8:20 AM. Stretched at the basketball court in the sunlight. The split stretch is getting easier and I see improvements in my flexibilities and range of motion. Finished stretching at 9:20 AM. had some donuts and a bagel for snacks. Checked Doris’s email: She is well and had a good nights rest. She liked my tutoring. Diana is back and wearing her new shoes. Lunch was served at 10:15 AM. Luncheon menu: chicken sandwich, rice, beans and an apple. Called Doris at 10:10 AM: Doris is well and had a good rest. Diana is back but is upset because her daughter extended her vacation. Her back feels better, not as painful. Doris is happy that my tutoring went well. I told her I was doing some sewing and worked on my Spanish lessons before tutoring. Tutoring was good for both classes. Finished tutoring at 2:30 PM. Went back to the unit at 2:30 PM. We had a new inmate at the camp today, I processed him with clothes and all the necessities. Dinner was served at 3:10 PM. Dinner menu: hot links, mashed potatoes and mixed vegetables. Patches visitation was approved on 10/18/2023. ACE Classes Art History 1 4-5 PM and Financial planning 5-6 PM. census count at 8:00 PM. Census count at 8:30 PM. Cleaned up at 9:00 PM. Final Census count at 9:30 PM. Went to bed at 10:00 PM.
Today was a good day: Doris is well and her walking has improved. She was happy with her walking, she sleep well. Walked 6 miles. Split stretched. Tutoring and Art History 1 class went well. Attended ACE Classes.
