10/23/2023 Monday daily diary from Atwater Camp.
Woke up at 5:30 AM. Made up my bed, cleaned up, changed to BOP uniform, and made a cup of coffee. Stretched, drank my coffee and watched the local news and weather channel, high temperature for today is 76 Degrees F. Started walking at 6:20 AM. Breakfast was served at 6:23 AM. Breakfast menu: Oatmeal, cookie and an apple.

- Check email from Doris.

- Walk 6 Miles.

- Split stretch.
- ACE Class – The Life of Muhammad 6-6:30 PM. 9) GED Math Tutor – Algebra 12:00 PM.
Completed 6 miles in 1 hour 17 minutes and 34 seconds at 7:50 AM. Average times were 12 minutes 56 seconds per mile (milla) or 2 minutes 10 seconds per lap (vuelta). The morning walk started out dark and misty but the sky was clear. The dawn sky was beautiful but the high clouds rolled in rapidly. The sun rise was completely shielded by the cloud. Finished my walk at 7:50 AM. Stretched and split stretched at the basketball court. Started the 2nd weeks of split stretch, utilizing the wall to stretch. i could see and feel my flexibility and range of motion improved. Finished stretching at 9:00 AM. Showered at 9:30 AM. Lunch was served at 10:20 AM. Luncheon menu: French fries, carrots, ground meat and an apple. Talked to Doris at 10:40 AM: Doris is well. Francis did not move in as expected. Diana is coming home today. Doris did not sleep too well last night. I urged her to take a nap if needed, in the afternoon. She like my book report on 12 Essential Scientific Concepts. I urged he not to cut and dry the Persimmons as I cut my fingers doing it last year. Let some else do the cutting. She asked about Patches visitation, I told her it will probably take 3-4 weeks for approval. She asked about my preparation for the GED tutoring, I told her it should be alright but I will bring a Spanish dictionary just in case. Exchanged pants for Paul Mata. Algebra class First class 12-1:00 PM, second class 1:30 – 2:30 PM. Classes went well and I will be tutoring every day form 12 – 2:30 PM. We had a new inmate to the camp, I processed him. Exchanged shirts and pants for Lopez. Dinner was served at 3:00 PM. Dinner menu: ground meat, rice, beans and bread. Exchanged sheets for Jesse. Exchanged T shirts for Alexis. Census count at 3:30 PM. Sewed and repaired pants for Lopez. Went to library to practice my Spanish lessons at 4:00 PM. Census count at 6:50 PM. Census count at 7:00 PM. Received couple of books from Karlee. Cleaned up at 9:00 PM. Final Census count at 9:30 PM. Went to bed at 10:00 PM.
Today was good day: Doris is well but she did not have a good sleep last night. She was excited about my Tutoring assignment. Diana is coming home today. The dogs are well. The GED tutoring went well, a few of the inmates liked my tutoring. Walked 6 miles. Practiced my Split stretch, my flexibility and range of motion have improved. Received books from Karlee.
