Completed first 4 miles in 57 minutes 4 seconds. Final two miles was completed in 22 minutes 58 seconds. The morning walk started out dark but cool. Ivan was already out on the trails. The sky was overcast with high clouds. The dawn sky looked angry. As the sun rose, it illuminated the dark cloud and turning it into normally cloud and the sky looked calmer albeit the thick cloud were in the sky. Finished walking at 8:00 AM. Felt good after the walk especially the last two mile where my time was under 11 minutes 30 seconds per mile or 2 minutes per lap. Stretch, Split stretch and rolled with the foam core roller. The split stretch is getting bearable and my range of motion has improved. practiced Yoga at the basketball court form 8:30 AM. The sun finally broke through the clouds for my Yoga practice. The practice was nice, went through most of my poses. Felt very relaxed after the practice. Finished Yoga at 9:40 AM. Luncheon was served after the Yoga practice. Luncheon menu: Scrambled eggs, biscuits with gravy, fries and banana. Census count at 10:00 AM. Talked to Doris at 10:20 AM: Doris is well and she went to Melissa’s celebration of life party. They left early but the party lasted until 4:00 AM. Doris received my ACE Class Report summary but she has not started typing it into the spreadsheet. Doris is contemplating when to visit me, either on November 4 or the week after November 9-11. Francis did not move in yesterday probably will move in today. The dogs are well and barking at the neighbors dog. Thee persimmons are ripe for harvesting and I don’t think is a good idea for Doris to try to cut them up and dry them, because I have cut my fingers several times cutting up the persimmons. She only has one capable hand and might cut herself if she is not careful. She liked my book report on the Art of Teaching.
Showered at 10:50 AM. Took a short nap and went to the library to practice my Spanish lessons. received my FSA EBRR / PA Certificates: Brain Health as You Age, Getting to Know Your Healthy Aging Body, Healthy Mind and Bodies, National Diabetes Prevention Program, Arthritis Foundation – Walk With EASE and Talking With Your Doctor.
