10/21/2023 Saturday daily diary from Atwater Camp.
Woke up at 5:30 AM. Made up my bed, cleaned up, changed to BOP uniform and made a cup of coffee. Stretched, drank my coffee and watched the local news and weather report, high temperature for today is 92 degrees F. Started walking at 6:20 AM. Breakfast was served at 6:25 AM. Breakfast menu: Oatmeal, bread, jelly and an apple

- ACE Classes Neuroscience 4-4:30 PM, African History 5-5:30 PM and Entrepreneurship 6-6:30 PM.
Completed first 4 miles in 52 minutes 38 seconds. Final two miles was completed in 22 minutes 58 seconds. Average time for first 4 miles 13 minutes 10 seconds per mile or 2 minutes 6 seconds per lap. Final two miles were at a faster pace, 11 minutes 29 seconds per mile (milla) or 1 minutes 45 seconds per lap (vuelta). Finished walking at 8:00 AM. Beautiful morning for a walking albeit it was a little windy, but nice and beautiful morning sun rise made up for it. Stretched, split stretched, rolled my thighs and legs with foam core roller, and practiced Yoga in the morning sunshine. The split stretch is getting better and my range of motion has improved. Yoga practice was nice and relaxing, especially after a week layoff. practiced most of my poses and finished with a corpse pose and woke up refreshed at 9:40 AM. Lunch was served at 9:50 AM. Luncheon menu: scrambled eggs, fries, toast with syrup and a banana. Washed my blanket and sheets at 9:55 AM. Census count at 10:00 AM. Showered at 10:20 AM. Talked to Doris at 10:50 AM: Doris is well and cheerful. She is going to Melissa’s celebration of life. Diana is upset that her daughter is not coming home until November 4. I told Doris I will be busy with book reports. Francis will be moving in today. I told her I was doing my laundry. Went to library to review some videos on Nutrition. Back to the unit at 2:30 PM. Email ACE Class report summary to Prison Professor and Doris. Sent book report on the Art of Teaching. census count at 3:30 PM. Dinner was served after the count. Dinner menu: meat loaf, rice, corn and bread. ACE Classes Neuroscience 2 – 4-4:30 PM, African History 5-5:30 PM and Entrepreneurship 6-6:30 PM. Worked on my Spanish lessons between classes. back to the unit at 6:30 PM. Census count at 7:10 PM. Census count at 8:30 PM. Cleaned up at 9:00 PM. Final census count at 9:30 PM. Went to bed at 10:00 PM.
Today was a good day: Doris is well and was cheerful. She is going to celebrate Melissa’s life. Finished book report on The Art of teaching. Walked 6 miles, split stretch and Yoga. Passed both ACE exams today: Neuroscience 2, and African History. Spanish lessons.
