10/19/2024 Friday daily diary from Atwater Camp.
Woke up at 5:00 AM. Made up my bed, cleaned up, changed to BOP uniform and made a cup of coffee. Stretched, drank my coffee and watched the local news and weather report, high temperature for today is 73 degrees F. Started walking at 5:50 AM. Breakfast was served at 6:20 AM. Breakfast menu: Oatmeal. cake, milk, sugar, apple and water (Harina de avena, torta, leche, ezucar, un manzana y agua).

The morning started at 4;00 AM, Rodrigo Santos left the camp for Half way house in San Francisco. The morning started out dark, hazy, breezy and cool. The lower atmosphere was hazy an the full moon was in mid sky moving Westward. The beautiful dawn sky was on display with analogous colors peeking over the Sierras, the full moon in mid sky and the dark blue sky. The autonomous car company was testing their vehicles today. The rabbits were grazing on the soccer and baseball fields, while Labrona and family were grazing by the fence near the basketball court. The squirrels did not show up after breakfast, but the inmates left the food by the door to the dormitory, The squirrels trained the inmates. As the sun rise over the Sierras, the reddish orange sphere illuminated the red haze and the outline of the Sierras giving it depth creating a picturesque scene. Walked and completed six mile at 7:30 AM, in 1 hour 13 minutes and 42 seconds. Averaged walking times were: 12 minutes and 17 seconds per mile or 2 minutes and 3 seconds per lap. Attended EBRR Class – Trauma, 7:30 – 8:30 PM. Went to sewing room: repaired and fabricated tool pouch for pants for Cody Carlson. Counselor Reyes told me, no new inmates until 10/21/2024 Monday. Showered and changed to BOP uniform at 9:30 AM. Lunch was served at 10:20 AM. Luncheon menu: fish filet sandwich, green beans, salad, apple and water. Talked to Doris at 10:40 AM: Doris is well and rested. She asked about our party last night and I told her we had a Mango cheese cake for my birthday and Santos going away party. Christina will be driving Doris to Atwater tomorrow. She should be here around 11-11:30 AM. It was cold and windy in Pinole, so she will be walking indoors. She asked if I have talked to Mr. Larsen. I told her I have not because he has not received my relocation papers yet, maybe next week. Cleaned the computer room. Checked email from Doris: Doris is well and rested. She walked 8751 steps, 16.2 inches step length and symmetry was 85%. Yesterday was the 258th consecutive days she closed the ring on her iPhone. She will be visiting me tomorrow and ETA is around 11-11:30 AM. Christina will drive her to Atwater as Norma has a death in her family. Went to sewing room: finished fabricating tool pouch for pants for Cody Carlson, brought some cleaned uniforms and blankets to laundry room, cleaned sewing room. GED/ESL/ Statistics tutoring 12:00- 3:30 PM. Good GED tutoring sessions. Census count at 3:30 PM. Dinner was served after the count. Dinner menu: spaghetti with ground meat and marinara sauce, salad, spinach, bread and water. Census count at 7:00 PM. Census count at 8:00 PM. Cleaned up at 9:00 PM. Final Census count at 9:30 PM. Went to bed at 10:00 PM.
