10/11/2023 Wednesday daily diary from Atwater Camp.
Woke up at 5:30 AM. Made up my bed, cleaned up, changed to BOP uniform and made a cup of coffee. Stretched, drank my coffee and watched the local news and weather report, high temperature for today is 72 degrees F. Started walking at 6:15 AM. Breakfast was served at 6:20 AM. Breakfast menu: Oatmeal, muffin and an apple.
Plan for today:
- Stretch.
- Call Doris.
- Email daily diary for 10/10/2023.
- Walk 6 miles.
- Quotations.
- ACE Classes Parenting 4-4:30 PM, Addictions 5-5:30 PM and Impossible Physics 6-6:30 PM.

Finished walking 6 miles at 7:50 AM, Stretched until 8:15 AM. Walking time was 1 hour 13 minutes and 34 seconds. Average time was 12 minutes 16 seconds per mile (milla) or 2 minutes 3 seconds per lap (Vuelta). Pretty good pace for 6 miles walk. The final three miles was under 12 minutes per mile or over 5 miles per hour, as I was sweating profusely. The walk started out dark and cold as the wind was blowing, but after a few laps, my body warmed up. The rabbits and frogs were out in force. The dawn sky looked good but not spectacular because of some low clouds. The sun rise was beautiful, as it illuminated the low clouds, creating a simple but beautiful scene. My point of view was that of the worm’s eye view. AS the sun rose, several more inmates were walking on the trail. Stretched in the basketball court. Good time to stretch and the temperature warmed up. Showered at 9:00 AM. Went to the sewing room to hem and alter a pair of pants and shirt for Brian Henson. Lunch was served at 10:10 AM. Luncheon Menu: Hamburger, Fries and an apple. Talked to Doris at 10:30 AM. Doris is well. Th weather is cool in the Bay Area and it helps her breathing. Mava was at the house to stuff the yard cuttings into the trash cans. Doris liked my Class report on Talking with Your Doctor and we discussed why we got rid of Dr O’Connor. This is the new way doctor should communicate with patients and make decisions together. I told her my Art History class went well and I enjoyed the class. She asked when I might be updating my Release Plan, I told her soon. I told her I will be busy in the sewing room doing some sewing and lots of reading and writing. Picked up my commissary items at 11:00 AM, Spent $10.55 at the commissary. Went to the sewing room to do some reading a new book ” Even the stiffest person can do a split in 4 weeks”. Went back to the unit at 3:00 PM. Dinner was served at 3:10 PM. Dinner menu: Nachos, salad, green beans and an apple. Census count at 3:30 PM. ACE Classes Parenting 4-4:30 PM, Addiction 5-5:30 PM and Impossible Physics 6-6:30 PM. Talking with your doctor 7-8 PM. Worked on my Spanish lessons in between classes. Census count at 8:00 PM.
