Completed first 4 miles in 52 minutes 33 seconds. Final 2 miles in 22 minutes 50 seconds. First four miles averaged 2 minutes 12 seconds per lap (Vuelta) or 13 minutes 9 seconds per mile (milla). Final 2 miles averaged 11 minutes 25 seconds per mile (milla) or 1 minute 26 seconds per lap (Vuelta). The first 4 miles were warm up pace. The final 2 miles was a pretty fast pace. The morning started out dark but cool and nice. Ivan was on the trail this morning. The morning walk was peaceful and quiet this is my sanctuary. The rabbits were out grazing and they avoid humans, unlike the squirrels they would beg from food from inmates. The sunrise over the Sierras was beautiful and a welcome sight. It is weird that the moon is still in the sky after the sun is up. Finished walking at 7:50 AM. Stretched at the basketball court until 8:20 AM. Changed to dry T-shirt and had a couple of donuts and started Yoga practice at the basketball court at 8:40 AM. Finished Yoga at 9:40 AM. It was a very good practice and I was sweating profusely but I felt really good and relaxed. Visualized the sunrise in my meditation what a beautiful world and finished with the corpse pose, and opened my eyes to bright blue sky and the moon is in the sky, weird. Lunch was served at 9:45 AM. Luncheon menu: 2 hard boiled eggs, fries, toast with syrup and banana. Census count at 10:00 AM. checked Doris’s email: She read my Oceanography 3 class report. She said it was a little too technical for her. She has not had an asthma attack for eight days and the weather is getting cooler. Called Doris at 10:20 AM: Doris is well. She has not had an asthma attack for eight days. the dogs are well and were impatient as Doris was a little late letting them out. She read my class report on Oceanography but it was a little too technical for her, compared to Art History. She will be busy working on her Christmas Inventory. Oralia has not been too busy with new inventory as she is getting tired. she asked if I watched the Warriors basketball game, I told her I was busy with my report and did not watch the game. It was a good game and she enjoyed the game, except I was not around to watch it with her. i told her I will be reading, writing and working on my Spanish lessons. She inquired if I could converse in Spanish, I told her I could but I could read better. But I need practice in speaking Spanish to teach.
Showered at 11:30 AM. Went to library to read and write. Went with Jon to carry the food for the AAPI dinner. Census count at 3:30 PM. Dinner was served after the count. Dinner menu: Chicken fried rice, carrots, beans and bread. AAPI had a dinner: fish filet, tortilla, salads and condiments. The fish dinner was delicious, enjoyed it thoroughly and over indulged. ACE Classes East European cities 4-4:30 PM, Customs of the world 5-5:30 PM and Psychology of Incarceration 6-6:30 PM. getting to know your healthy aging body 7-8 PM. prepared class report and reviewed Spanish lessons in between classes.
