Completed 6 miles walk at 8:00 AM and stretched at the basketball court until 8:20 AM. The morning walk started out dark and cool, low 60’s it was comfortable. Time for 6 miles was 1 hour 15 minutes and 43 seconds, averaged 12 minutes 7 seconds per mile or 2 minutes 2 seconds per lap. Pretty good walking pace for 6 miles. As usual I worked up a good sweat. the sunrise was spectacular amid the haze. Things really warmed up after the sunrise. Rabbits were out grazing on the field and scamper away as I walked past them, then they return to graze after I walked past them. The stretch at the basketball court was nice in the morning sunshine. Got a doze of healthy vitamin D, from nature. Went back to the unit to dry up and changed to Dry T-shirt. Cleaned the computer room, dusted and swept it. Rewarded myself with some donuts and warm water. Showered at 9:20 AM. Went to sewing room to repair some pants. Lunch was served at 10:10 AM. Luncheon menu: Fried fish sandwich, green beans and bread. I supplement the lunch with an apple. Talked to Doris at 10:20 AM: Doris is well and sounded cheerful. Kein, Diana, Mava and Doris had a hurried lunch yesterday because Kein was held up by Dianne Feinstein’s funeral. They compressed the cuttings but still have 3-4 bags left for next week. She liked my Art History 1 Class report. It refreshed her memory about art and she enjoyed discussing art with me, since I know a little about Art. I told her there are lots of things that goes into Art and to learn to paint would take a long time. I told her my schedule at the camp: morning walk, shower, luncheon, read and write or watch educational videos, dinner, ACE and EBRR classes, daily dairy , book and class reports, cleaned up and time for bed. I have been using my time wisely to learn new skills, language and educate myself, keeping healthy, staying busy and out of trouble. Time flies when I kept busy and work on my goal – to get home early. I told her to get some sleep, or nap in the afternoon so it will help her.
Went to sewing room to sort out some inmates uniforms and repair some shirts and pants. Dinner was served at 3:20 PM. Dinner Menu: Pasta with ground meat, salad and bread. Census count at 3:30 PM. ACE Classes Italy 4-4:30 PM, Oceanography 5-5:30 PM and Small Business seminar 6-6:30 PM. Managing your Diabetes 7-8 PM. Worked on my Spanish lessons in between classes. Census count at 8:00 PM. Census count at 8:30 PM. Cleaned up at 9:00 PM. Final Census count at 9:30 PM. Went to bed at 10:00 PM.
