The morning call out for food service workers at 5:00 AM. They were headed out to the Penitentiary. The second wave of workers were due at the Front Lobby by 6:50 AM. The morning started out dark, hazy, breezy and cool. The lower atmosphere was hazy and reddish orange colors with plumes of dark smoke on the Eastern horizon and the crescent moon was in the mid-sky towards the East. The beautiful dawn sky was on display with analogous colors peeking over the Sierras, crescent moon in the Eastern mid sky contrasting with the dark blue sky. The autonomous vehicle company was testing their cars by the camp. The rabbits were grazing by the soccer and baseball fields, while Labrona and family were grazing by the fence near the basketball court. As the morning progressed the sky brightened and analogous colors radiated out of the suns path: red, orange, yellow, light green, light blue and blue sky. As the sun rise over the Sierras, the orange reddish sphere illuminated the outline of the Sierras creating a picturesque of the Sierras outline amid a band of orange reddish haze. The squirrels appeared after breakfast and were scurrying around begging for food from the inmates. Completed walking 6 miles at 7:40 AM, in 1 hour 14 minutes and 12 seconds. Average walking times were: 12 minutes and 22 seconds per mile or 2 minutes and 4 seconds per lap. Stretched, split stretched and practiced Yoga at the basketball court until8:40 AM. The Yoga practice felt good after the walk and I was able to exercise all phases: strength, flexibility, balance and breathing.
