9/28/2023 Thursday daily diary from Atwater Camp.
Woke up at 5:30 AM. Made up my bed, cleaned up, changed to BOP uniform and made a cup of coffee. Stretched, drank my coffee and watched the local news and weather report, high temperature for today is 80 degrees F. Started walking at 6:20 AM. Breakfast was served at 6:25 AM. Breakfast menu: cereal, cake and apple.

- Call Doris.
- Email daily diary for 9/27/2023.
- Walk 6 miles.
- ACE Classes Philosophy of Emotions 4-4:30 PM, Addiction 5-5:30 PM and How your body functions 6-6:30 PM.
- Brain Health as you age 7-8 PM.
Walked 1 mile before walk was aborted by CO. Back to the unit. Unit was on lockdown until 9:00 AM. Went to sewing room to repair some pants and worked on my Spanish lessons. Lunch was served at 10:10 AM. Luncheon menu: Baked chicken, sweet potato and green beans. Talked to Doris at 10:35 AM. Doris is well but her breathing is hard. I told her to use her nebulizer is she needs to. the dogs are well. She reminded of the side effects of Finasteride. I told her she is worrying about something that might not happen. I told her that they have not prescribed the medication yet and I might not take it even if it is prescribed. She is worrying about it unnecessarily. She was busy working on her Christmas inventory. I told her I had a sick call out at 11:30 AM.
Went to sewing room to sup up some towels for barber shop, Orosco. Went to front office for my 11:30 AM appointment. Unfortunately, the appointment was rescheduled again. Went back to the sewing room to work on my Spanish lessons. Repaired Jon’s pants. Back to the unit at 3:00 PM. The label printer was out of print labels. Waiting for CO to open the printer to replace the labels. Dinner was served at 3:10 PM. Dinner menu: Shredded chicken, beans, rice and bread. Census count at 3:30 PM. ACE classes Philosophy of Emotions 4-4:30 PM, Sociology 5-5:30 PM and How your body works 6-6:30 PM. Brain Health as you age 7-8 PM. Studied Spanish lessons in the library in between classes. Census count at 8:00 PM. Census count at 8:30 PM. Cleaned up at 9:00 PM. Final count at 9:30 PM. Went to be at 10:00 PM.
Today was an ordinary day: Doris is well but is breathing heavily. Finished only 1 mile of walking. Attended ACE Classes and Brain Health as you age. I was able to cover some Spanish lessons. The lockdown affected a lot of my schedule. My medical appointment was rescheduled again.
Louis Pasteur: Wine may well be considered the most healthful and most hygienic of beverages.
