The morning started out cold in the lower 50’s, nice, cool, clean air and no inmates in sight on the track. As it warmed up after the sun rose over the horizon, it was a beautiful sight and boosted up my energy and attitude. First three miles was a slow warm up pace. But the final three miles the pace was better, worked up a good sweat. Stretched until 8:20 AM. Dried up and changed to dry T shirt. Went to see Dr. Giron, he changed my prostrate prescription to Finasteride. He approved my Ibuprofen prescription for seven days. he also recommended custom orthotics and shoes for my back and feet. But It will need final approval from the administrator. He also recommended an x-ray for my back and feet because I have had recurring pain from wearing shoes without proper support since I came to camp. Lunch was served at 10:20 AM. Luncheon menu: chicken sandwich, beans, rice and apple. Talked to at 10:50 AM: Doris is well, she sounded good and did not have an asthma attack last night. The dogs were fighting and she had to hose them down to stop their fighting. She inquired when I would start teaching the Art History class, I told her next Tuesday. I told her I had to repair some pants in the sewing room. She was going to get some birthday cards for Karlee and my birthday. She asked me not to sign off in Spanish, as she did not feel it.
Went to the sewing room to exchange pants for Nick. We are out of size 36 pants. repaired several size 36 pants. Back to the unit at 12:30 PM. Washed a load of my laundry. Read some Spanish lessons. Finished my laundry at 2:30 PM. Dinner was served at 3:00 PM. Dinner menu: Meatloaf, mashed potatoes with gravy, green beans and bread. Went to the library to read more Spanish lessons.
