9/19/2024 Thursday daily dairy from Atwater Camp.
Woke up at 5:30 AM. Made up my bed, cleaned up, changed to BOP uniform and made a cup of coffee. Stretched, drank my coffee and watched the local news and weather report, high temperature for today 81 degrees F. Started walking at 6:00 AM. Breakfast was served at 6:40 AM. Breakfast menu: Cereal, cake, milk, sugar, apple and water (cereal, torta, leche, ezucar, un manzana y agua).

  3. Check email from Doris.
  4. Email daily dairy for 9/18/2024.
  5. Walk 6 Miles.
  6. Split Stretch.
  7. Yoga.
  8. Quotations.
  9. GED/ ESL Tutoring 12:00 – 2:30 PM.
  10. ACE Classes US History 1898 – 1933, 5-5:30 PM and Stock Options part 2, 6-6:30 PM.

The morning call out for food service workers at 5:00 AM. They started shopping for their commissary at 5:45 AM because they did not shop yesterday. They were done with their shopping and headed to the Front Office at 6:45 AM. The morning started out dark, cloudy, hazy, breezy and cool. The lower atmosphere was hazy and it was reddish in color. The full moon was in mid sky moving Westward. The beautiful dawn sky was on display, dark clouds over the Sierras with patches of clearing which was reddish in color. The lower clouds were dark gray and the stratus clouds were peach color. The rabbits were grazing on the soccer and baseball fields, while Labrona and family were grazing by the fence near the basketball court. As the sun rise over the Sierras, the Stratus turned to peach color while the lower clouds were dark gray with the blue sky as the background. The squirrels appeared after breakfast and were scurrying around begging for food from the inmates. Completed walking 3 miles before breakfast. Headed to the Front Office at 6:50 AM. We were told to go back to the dormitory for 30 minutes while they moved an inmate for medical. Went back to the dormitory. Counselor set of the fire alarm to wake some of the inmates who were still asleep. Went back to front office at 7:45 AM. CO Almanza checked us into the penitentiary. Went to laundry room: folded sheets, blankets, uniforms and sorted out towels, boxers and t shirts: prepared bus bags for new inmates: delivered cleaned laundry to sections: 3A and 3B. Went to cafeteria for lunch. Luncheon menu: baked chicken, rice, apple, chips and water. Delivered meals for sections: 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B. Went back to laundry” folded sheets and blankets: washed several loads of sheets and blankets. Went to commissary: organized merchandise on shelves; stocked shelves: breakdown cardboard boxes: sealed leaks to commissary with Styrofoam to prevent intrusion by rodents. Went back to laundry and removed dried blankets and sheets. Left the Penitentiary at 1:05 PM. Back to the dormitory by 1:20 PM. Talked to Doris: Doris is well and rested. Her asthma is feeling better. She was cleaning the backyard and putting the trash bins out on the curb. She will walk indoors to keep warm. Checked Email from Doris at 1:30 PM: Doris is well and rested. She walked 8854 steps, 16.1 inches step length and symmetry was 62%. Yesterday was the 239th consecutive days she closed the ring on her iPhone. She is ready to visit me on Saturday 9/21/2024. Rodrigo Santos tutored the GED/ESL students. Statistics class 2-3:00 PM. Counselor Reyes informed me we will have 2 new self surrender inmates on 9/20/2024 and 2 new inmates off the bus on Monday 9/23/2024. Census count 3:30 PM. Dinner was served after the count. Dinner menu: turkey, sweet potatoes, bread, mixed vegetables and water. ACE Classes US History 1898 – 1933, 5-5:30 PM and Stock Options Part 2, 6-6:30 PM. Census count at 7:00 PM. Census count at 8:00 PM. Cleaned up at 9:00 PM. Final Census count at 9:30 PM. Went to bed at 10:00 PM.

Today was a good day: Doris is well and rested and her asthma is under control. She walked 8854 steps, 16.1. inches step length and symmetry was 62%. Yesterday was the 239th consecutive days she closed the ring on her iPhone. Walked 3 miles and stretched. Attended ACE Class and Statistics class. Rodrigo Santos tutored the GED/ESL classes.
